    Council Laison Officer

    Main purpose / objective of the position:

    • Provide a highly effective and efficient council liaison and technical service that will ensure that queries logged in terms of utility accounts for client are followed up and concluded correctly and timeously to assist the client in achieving uninterrupted utilities supply at the lowest cost.

    Role Objectives \ Responsibilities:

    • To receive queries and requests for investigations from clients and colleagues
    • Research, analyse and produce an effective plan of action to resolve queries
    • Conduct field audit investigations
    • Timely capture of all the queries in the relevant tracker
    • Immediately action and handle all follow up, negotiation, planning and coordination with Municipalities and/or Landlords to effectively implement corrections
    • Maintain query tracker with up-to-date meaningful comment on previous actions, next steps and scheduled dates sheets and provide status updates to completion at least bi-weekly
    • Analyse meter readings and tariffs to ensure cost reflective recovery
    • Prepare reconciliations as and when required
    • Ensure deadlines are met in accordance with the SLA’s as per the contracts
    • Compile monthly reports accurately and timeously
    • Report any abnormalities in terms of costs and recoveries
    • Ensure all changes are properly added to the workflow and are implemented within SLA timelines
    • Ensure all queries raised are properly added to the workflow and are resolved and responded to within SLA timelines
    • Meet with clients when needed to resolve queries

    Experience / Education:

    • Senior Certificate with maths
    • At least 5 years minimum experience within the utility’s environment

    Knowledge Required:

    • Aptitude for figures and financial skills.Aptitude for figures and financial skills

    • Understanding of the electrical network and different types of Utilities tariff structures
    • Adequate knowledge of specific discipline
    • Legislation and regulations with regards to municipal/government supply and services requirements.

    Project Lead

    About the role

    • The Project Lead – Processes & Automation is responsible for leading cross-functional programmes focused on business process improvement, automation, and digital transformation. This role ensures successful delivery of initiatives that streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and drive value through the use of automation technologies and workflow tools.

    What you will bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (postgraduate qualification preferred).
    • 6–10 years of experience in project management with a strong focus on process improvement and automation.
    • Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies advantageous. Proven experience in managing enterprise-wide process or automation programmes. Familiarity with automation tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, or low[1]code platforms.

    What you will be doing

    Key Responsibilities:

    Programme & Project Leadership

    • Lead end-to-end delivery of automation and process improvement programmes, from initiation to post-implementation review.
    • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, milestones, and risk management plans.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality execution.

    Process Optimisation

    • Identify, map, and analyse existing business processes to uncover inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
    • Lead workshops and interviews with teams to document pain points, business rules, and workflow gaps.
    • Design future-state processes aligned with strategic objectives and operational goals.

    Automation Delivery

    • Oversee the implementation of automation solutions in collaboration with technical teams.
    • Ensure automation initiatives deliver measurable ROI and align with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

    • Act as a change agent to promote process and digital transformation across the organisation.
    • Communicate progress, risks, and benefits to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Drive user adoption, training, and support for new processes and systems.

    Governance & Reporting

    • Maintain documentation, dashboards, and reports to track project health, KPIs, and outcomes.
    • Establish and enforce governance frameworks for automation deployment and lifecycle management.
