    HR Manager

    Job Description

    Required Skills

    • Tertiary Qualification in HR/ Industrial Psychology/Labour Law or Social Sciences.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Join Lactalis at our Bonnievale Plant in Speciality Cheese overseeing Feta & White Mould Department with the main responsibility to control and manage productivity through monitoring and management of FTE and line efficiencies.
    • Reduce Customer Complaint rate by improving first pass quality and quality control. Reduces Raw material, Ingredients and Packaging losses. Successful candidates need to have at least 5 years' supervisory experience within FMCG environment. Be fluent in English and be computer literate.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Control production.
    • Do daily OEE and productivity control.
    • Control documentation for traceability.
    • Maintain productivity at the set target.
    • Do daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts and explain deviations.
    • Waste control on products and material.
    • Maximize yields in recipes and maintain good quality.
    • Budget control and implementing sporadic corrective actions for Feta

    • Have to make sure that equipment used in production is clean and sanitize to prevent microbial contamination
    • Ensure Cleaning and Sanitizing are done according to Master Cleaning schedule and all policies and procedures are adhered to.

    Safety:

    • Safety inspection to be done with safety representative.
    • Ensure HIRA (Hazard identification and Risk Assessments) are conducted timeously and kept up to date
    • Report all dangerous situations and generate job cards.
    • Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times and all policies and procedures adhered to.
    • Ensure Permit to works are issued and all the necessary risk assessments completed for all hazardous work
    • Ensure all staff are trained and familiar with Safety policies and procedures regarding all tasks performed.
    • Test all safety mechanisms on the equipment.
    • Report all near misses and incidents.

    Millwright

    Job Description

    • Join Lactalis at our Bonnievale Plant in the Engineering department (Utilities and Site Service department) with the main responsibilities is to ensure the assembly, installation, alteration, repair and testing as well as fault diagnosis of machinery parts and other equipment.
    • This covers both the electrical/electronic and mechanical work. Utilizes a combination of skills.
    • Will be responsible for the day to day and shutdown maintenance of the Refrigeration Plants, Boilers, steam reticulation, cold rooms, water reticulation, effluent handling and air reticulation on a shift and/or standby basis.
    • The individual’s main area of responsibility pertaining to preventative maintenance, efficiency monitoring and repairs.
    • Successful candidates need to have at least 5 years' relevant experience within engineering field, FMCG environment, must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance, experience on pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment. Be fluent in English and be computer

    Required Skills

    • Trade tested qualified Millwright.
    • Cat A and Cat B ammonia refrigeration certified.
    • Good knowledge of coal operated boilers and all its amenities.
    • Boiler maintenance experience, Boiler operator capability is advantageous
    • At least 5 years’ experience in the FMCG production environment
    • Minimum of at least 5 years' experience as a Millwright
    • Experience on pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment
    • Proven PLC knowledge to facilitate fault finding

    • Self-motivator with good planning and organising skills

    • Responsible for the day to day, planned, scheduled, breakdowns and shutdown maintenance of the Utilities/Site Services department. This covers Ammonia refrigeration plants, boilers, air reticulation, water reticulation, cold stores and effluent/wastewater handling.
    • To ensure that an OEE of between 80% and 85% is maintained at all times.
    • Complete maintenance schedules on or before required dates
    • Complete preventative maintenance schedules and make use of data to improve preventative-maintenance
    • Feedback on job cards and machine history to be accurate and on time
    • Maintain a two-way communication with department managers and supervisors
    • Provide training to machine operators in order to service machines during normal production runs
    • Ensure that tools are clean and in working order
