Job Description

To efficiently code, debug and unit test moderate to complex programs. This includes new development and or modifications to existing programs on a Supply Chain system. Compile designs for moderate to complex programs. To investigate user requests in order to determine and correct root cause of incidents. Role: 

We are looking to hire a DevSecOps Engineer/Specialist with 4-7 years of experience in DevOps Security across: 

• Azure / AWS 
• Docker and Kubernetes 
• Terraform 
• Building and modifying CI/CD pipelines 
• Implementing and configuring Security Tooling - e.g., Software Composition Analysis (SCA), Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST). 

Key Tasks and Accountabilities include but is not limited to: 

• Ensure successful implementation and embedment of effective DevSecOps solutions (i.e. SAST, DAST, CWPP, SCA, etc.) 
• Assist the Engineering and Development teams to build effective and secured CI/CD pipelines, assisting in the configuration and maintenance of the pipelines - shifting security left 
• Ensure that capabilities are deployed through a CI/CD pipeline with security requirements adhered to prior to deployment 
• Communicate application security features to the engineering and development teams utilising a triad of people, processes, and technology 
• Advise engineering teams to consider patterns in software security development and best practice, provide recommendations on approach and automation related to security 
• Ensure compliance with Security and Operational risk standards 
• Work with theCloud team in the engineering of solutions on AWS Cloud using Infrastructure As Code methods such as Terraform and Ansible 
• Proactively monitor and fix vulnerabilities while building a “knowledge base” 

Qualifications : 

• Relevant Information Technology Degree or National Diploma 

Experience: 

• 4-7 years working experience 
• Experience with Dockers, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes and GCP/Azure/GCP knowledge. 
• Working Experience on Linux based infrastructure. 
• Excellent understanding and experience of at least 2 of the following: Python, JavaScript, Shell, Node.js, Bash, Ruby.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 
TASKS

• Acting as a first line of contact for the Application Support team. Promptly answer and conclude telephone calls by ensuring queue time of less than 60 seconds and an abandon rate of less than 5 . 
• Ensure that requests received via the telephone, e mail, web or fax, are logged promptly and with sufficient information to facilitate problem resolution. 
• Support the users in the effective use of BAS and assist them to manage the problems experienced. Aim is to resolve 10 of issues at first tier level. 
• All requests that cannot be resolved at first tier should be forwarded to the second tier for further investigation. 
• Attend to user enquiries and ensure that requests reflect necessary information. Re route all unidentified calls meant for other transversal contact centres via official channels. 
• Support the users in the effective use of BAS and address system related issues. Set up and facilitate all communication inbound and outbound e.g. system related messages, user satisfaction surveys, user enquiries and status calls. 
• Provide on the job functional training in all business areas provided by BAS. 
• Have an overall understanding of activities related to BAS at the departments and to highlight risk areas to the First Tier Supervisor. Understand how other systems utilised by the department e.g. PERSAL impacts the BAS and financial activities at the department. 
• Systematically collect information about the user needs, problems and suggestions workarounds and include in the weekly status report to the First Tier Supervisor.
