    Mine Overseer

    Purpose of Job

    • Provide the leadership required to create high performance teams - capable of reaching all their targets, as well as to do the coaching required for the teams to function successfully without supervision. Execute the statutory duties accordingly to Regulation 2.14.1

    Key Accountabilities

    OPERATING ENVIRONMENT 

    • This position has a 2.14.1 legal appointment and is accountable for managing the operational solutions and governance within the area of appointment at a mine within a highly regulated industry -Remote locations, Equipment and infrastructure are underground and may be located over a wide area, the availability must be managed to ensure production targets are met -Complex interfaces with contractors and suppliers also exit -Information from various sources needs to be analysed, interpreted and integrated to make trade-off decisions in the best interest of the area of responsibility.

    Learner Administration: HR

    Purpose of Job

    • To participate in and complete the Learnership programme for designated field of expertise.

    Programme

    • The 12 month programme will offer a theoretical element aligned to a NQF Learnership programme and practical onsite work experience to improve the skills and workplace performance of entry-level learners. It provides foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, computer and basic business principles.
    • It is suitable for Grade 12 qualified persons to develop essential professional skills. During the practical component Learners will provide administrative support to improve the effectiveness of managers and the departments in general as work readiness preparation.
