    Project Manager

    Job Advert Summary    

    • An exciting new opportunity is available within our System Support and Development team for a resourceful Project Manager.
    • As a Project Manager, you will be responsible to lead, plan, and oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards.     Minimum Requirements    
    Education:

    Asset Management: Client Director

    Job purpose:

    • PPS Investments is seeking an accomplished Client Director/Investment Specialist for a newly created role that will play an integral role in expanding our asset management capability. The focus is on driving the distribution of our Partnership Asset Management funds – a suite of sub-advised, single-manager funds – to Category II asset aggregators, Discretionary Fund Managers (DFMs), adviser networks, investment platforms (LISPs), and other key intermediaries. This is a senior role with a mandate to help shape and accelerate the next phase of PPS Investments’ growth, working closely with the Executive: Partnership Asset Management and the broader distribution team. The successful candidate will collaborate across the organisation to execute ambitious growth plans, contributing significantly to the expansion of our Partnership fund range and overall asset management business.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Ideal qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
    • Advanced designations such as CFA, CAIA, or CIPM (completed or in progress) are highly advantageous.
    • Regulatory qualifications like RE5 (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services exam) are preferred.
    • These credentials demonstrate a commitment to professional excellence and will bolster your credibility with sophisticated clients.

    Ideal experience:

    • At least 5 years’ proven track record and experience within the asset management industry including (preferably business development, DFM and/or multi management experience)
    • Established relationships and credibility across the IFA, DFM, LISP, and fund-of-funds community are highly advantageous. The ideal candidate is someone already recognized and trusted by decision-makers in these channels – capable of immediately leveraging a robust network to create opportunities.
    • Investment product knowledge and understanding of the broader local and global asset management landscape are required. You should be well-versed in unit trusts and portfolio construction, have up-to-date insight into ASISA fund categories and investment strategies, and be able to discuss how economic and market trends impact various asset classes and products.

    • Drive AUM Growth Through Distribution: Champion the expansion of the PPS Partnership fund range across South Africa’s retail and wholesale investment markets, with a focus on third-party partner channels (DFMs, multi-managers, LISPs, IFAs, fund-of-funds). Develop and execute robust distribution plans to consistently deliver new net inflows.
    • Strategic Market Development: Identify and pursue new market opportunities and strategic partnerships that align with our growth objectives.
    • Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Build and maintain high-trust, reciprocal relationships with key investment decision-makers across the industry. This includes nurturing connections with research heads at DFM and multi-manager firms, model portfolio managers, platform due-diligence teams, and senior independent financial advisers.
    • Brand & Network Influence: Elevate PPS’s visibility and credibility in the external market through active networking
    • New Business Pipeline & Sales Process: Develop and manage a sustainable new business pipeline of potential opportunities.
    • Internal Collaboration & Product Alignment: Work closely with internal teams – including the product development, investment management, marketing, and business intelligence teams – to align our strategies with market needs.
    • Insight Generation: Serve as the “voice of the client” within PPS Investments. Provide structured feedback on investor and intermediary sentiment, competitive product trends, and any service gaps, thus enabling continuous improvement of the Partnership fund range and associated service model.
    • Thought Leadership & Market Insight: use investment knowledge and market insights to grow the Partnership fund range.

    Claims Administration Professional Services Agent

    Overall Job Purpose

    • This role will be responsible to ensure that the reporting staff members understands and satisfies the customer requirements and will be responsible to create a culture of service. All Claims documents, Queries, and financial assessments to be accurately done and within SLA.
    • The focus is to deliver high standards of service to member. The role involves accurately capturing and processing key claims related information to ensure thorough and efficient claims assessment. It requires clear and professional communication of essential details to stakeholders such as claims assessors, members, advisers, and internal teams. Additionally, the role includes addressing and resolving claims-related queries, maintaining a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Acting as a central point of contact, the role supports smooth claims processes and fosters positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure an exceptional service experience

    Minimum Requirements    
    Formal Qualifications:

    • 3 year tertiary qualification (Degree/Btech/Nat Dip) with relevance business orientation essential

    Experience:

    • 2 - 3 years’ experience in claims and/or administrative and business coordinating/ business sales support role in financial services essential.
    • 2 -3 years Intermediate knowledge of the Life Assurance or Financial Services industry essential.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Quality assurance of claims documents
    • Reviewing of documents received, accurate checks to be done for claims, completeness of documentation.
    • Ensure standard requirements has been met for the claims to be finalised and request for outstanding information.
    • Updating of information on Service Manager
    • Ensure that details are captured accurately on the system: Banking details update as per Electronic Funds Transfer Authority form
    • Administrator Performance: The performance of individuals is essential to the success of a Claims Admin team.

    Process optimization and efficiencies

    • Duties include working with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service to all stakeholders.

    Cultivate a performance driven team collaborating with support- and other operational teams

    • Must be able to work shifts (11pm – 7am, 3am – 11pm, 12 am – 8am and 4am – 12am – times are subject to change)
