Description

• Accurately diagnose faults found and reported on a vehicle (trouble shooting).
• Carry out servicing and repairs to vehicles in an efficient manner.
• Conduct road tests on repaired vehicles as and when needed.
• Ensure workshop quality, safety and security procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Report any vehicle faults other than those on the job card.
• Conduct servicing according to MAN specifications and service sheet.
• Work accurately and timeously to achieve both efficiency and productivity to the required standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade: 12 Matric Certificate.
• N3 and possess a Diesel Mechanic trade test certificate.
• Possession of a dual trade is highly advantageous.

Skills:

• Pro-active, highly motivated and pay attention to detail.
• Customer focused with a results driven approach.
• EC or EC1 drivers licence.
• Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills.
• Work independently though being a team player

Experience:

• Trade Certificate experience in the heavy commercial vehicle industry - 5 years.
• MAN and / or VW heavy commercial vehicles - 3 years.
• MAN CATS 3 - 1 year.

• Achievement of set CSM for service and parts Achieve efficient operation, establish & meet objectives on workshop operating policies & standards.
• Implement MAN standards and procedures in all departments.
• Achieve an ongoing increase in new customers and the retention thereof.
• Responsible for managing the company’s assets.
• Control the branch’s budget including personnel costs and overheads.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade: 12 Matric Certificate.
• Diploma in a similar role in the automotive industry.

• Good financial knowledge.
• Computer Literate Analytical and strategic skills to identify problems thereafter solve them.
• High level communication, interpersonal relations and negotiation skills.

• Achieve the budgeted turnover, profit margins and CSM targets for parts.
• Control the overall budget of Parts department including personnel and overhead costs.
• Responsible for the management of staff in the Parts department.
• Manage the inventory to ensure optimum economic inventory levels.
• Responsible for the stock taking administration.
• Achieve an efficient operation by meeting objectives on operating policies and standards.
• Standards as per the dealer standards program.
• Ensure ongoing increase in new customers and the retention thereof.
• Conduct regular customer on site visits.
