Key responsibilities:

• Offer support to Key Account Managers by compiling sales proposals and support documentation, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist with switchboard and reception when needed
• Compile archive of Central24 projects
• Facilitate the booking of campaigns using iQuote and SAP booking systems.
• Support Key Account Managers by creating iQuotes for clients using iQuote system.
• Liaise with clients concerning the receipt of signed Iquotes and Purchase Orders and ensuring all advertising material and tags are received.
• Offer general administrative support to the team.
• Liaise telephonically and via email with customers regarding urgent orders or queries when Key Account Managers are not available.
• Compile sales documentation for presentations when necessary, in attractive and visual presentation style.

Minimum Requirements:

• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in the journalism industry.
• Familiarity with the online environment.
• Proven experience as a reporter, sub-editor, or content producer/production journalist.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent writing, rewriting, and sub-editing skills.
• An excellent eye for visuals, and knowledge of photo editing.
• A good understanding of local and international entertainment and lifestyle news.
• Being versatile, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to perform under pressure with short turn-around times.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with a CMS.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Produce online-ready content and jazz it up with cool collateral.
• Copy-taste relevant local and international content.
• Edit content to match our publication style.
• Help moderate comments to keep it civil and friendly.
• Manage the workflow of the News24 lifestyle section.
• Send out newsletters when needed.
• Be open to working irregular hours, independently, and even on weekends and public holidays.
