    Chief Executive Officer

    Summary

    • The Chief Executive Officer will provide enterprise leadership, strategic direction and executive accountability for Busamed as a South African private hospital group. The role will lead the organisation in achieving sustainable growth, financial resilience, clinical quality, patient experience, operational performance, governance, stakeholder trust and long-term shareholder value. The CEO will direct the Executive Committee in translating Board-approved strategy into integrated business plans and disciplined execution across the hospital network.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Medicine, Nursing, Clinical Governance or related field (NQF Level 7) is essential.
    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, Strategy, Leadership, Governance, Medicine or related field (NQF Level 9) will be advantageous.

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 10 years’ executive leadership experience within private healthcare, hospital groups, healthcare services, clinical services, insurance, financial services with healthcare exposure, or a complex related service industry.
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience leading multi-site operations with large workforces and professional stakeholder groups.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Board, shareholder, Executive Committee, regulator, funder and senior stakeholder engagement.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial stewardship, including P&L accountability, working capital management, capital allocation, acquisitions, risk management and commercial sustainability.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare quality, clinical governance, patient safety, healthcare professional engagement, hospital licensing and regulatory compliance.
    • Experience in private hospital growth, healthcare acquisitions, hospital turnarounds, facility expansion, funder contracting and specialist clinician partnerships will be advantageous.
    • Experience in B-BBEE, ESG, healthcare transformation and community stakeholder engagement will be advantageous.
    • Experience in digital health, IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management and data-led healthcare improvement will be advantageous.

    Knowledge

    • Set the strategic direction of Busamed in consultation with the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
    • Translate shareholder and Board priorities into the healthcare strategy, operating model, capital plan and performance agenda.
    • Lead the Executive Committee to align patient experience, commercial growth, finance, corporate services, strategy and clinical governance.
    • Provide executive oversight of hospital operations and ensure safe, efficient, patient-centred and financially sustainable performance.
    • Report to the Board on strategy, performance, risk, governance, growth, capital structure, clinical quality and material business matters.
    • Lead financial and commercial sustainability, including profitability, cash flow, working capital, capital allocation and investment returns.
    • Champion clinical quality, patient safety and clinical governance across the hospital network.

    Pharmacist Assistant – Post Basic

    Summary

    • The incumbent will assist the pharmacist in dispensing and to perform pharmacy related administrative duties.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
    • Qualified as post basic pharmacist assistant
    • Registered as a post basic pharmacist assistant with pharmacy council advantageous

    Work Experience

    • Two years’ experience in a similar position in a pharmacy
    • Working experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding industry will be advantageous
    • Ability to adhere to principles and values at all time
    • Ability to presenting and communicating information

    Knowledge

    • Dispensing knowledge
    • Computer Literacy essential.
    • Fluent communication in English essential.
    • Knowledge of dispensing systems and ordering systems
    • Working with people
    • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
    • Following instructions and procedures
    • Coping with pressures and setbacks

    Marketing Officer

    Summary
    Marketing Officer will support and execute key marketing activities in line with the overall hospital marketing strategy, which includes but limited to:

    • Support hospital marketing and communication campaigns and initiatives
    • Implementation of Brand Activation/New Product Launches and events
    • In-line with developed and approved strategies the marketing officer will execute GP visits and facilitate the introduction of specialists to GP’s. Further to this you will be required ensure that approved marketing collateral is placed in strategic areas including GP practices
    • Work with the hospital marketing manager to ensure that all marketing collateral is in line with the groups corporate branding guidelines and best practices
    • The role will require liaison with patients, doctors, and staff member with escalation of matter to senior management
    • Working alongside the hospital marketing manager assist the human resources team with staff events in line with employee forum activities
    • Execute CSI initiatives as determined by management strategies
    • Assistance with patient satisfaction/experience projects and management of complaints as passed down by the management team
    • Facilitate doctor relationship initiatives as determined by management
    • Execution of planned CME/CPD programs and activities
    • Maintain an up-to-date doctor’s database
    • Manage staff uniforms

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 qualification essential
    • Marketing, PR, HR or Communications tertiary qualification would be advantageous
    • Computer Literacy – Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office
    • Excellent written and verbal skills

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 2 years’ work experience in marketing or similar roles
    • At least 1-year should be within the private healthcare environment

    Knowledge

    • Drivers Licence and own vehicle is essential
    • Must be willing to travel
    • Must be willing to work after hours and on weekend to execute and facilitate events
