    Route Controller

    Seabourne Logistics is looking for a dynamic and effective Route Controller to manage the preparation of the daily deliveries and monitoring the progress of deliveries. If this, is you, then take a quick look at our vacancy!

    More about the position

    • Plan drives routes daily.
    • Ensure that GEO coding is updated on Parcel Perfect
    • Monitor delivery due dates and plan accordingly.
    • Assist drivers with queries that might arise during the trip.
    • Assign collections to drivers according to the area.
    • Liaise with the customer service department to address queries and for planning purposes.
    • Ensure that the relevant failed types are updated for out of spec deliveries on Parcel Perfect.
    • Follow up with drivers to ensure that deliveries/ collections are all completed for the day before starting the debrief.
    • Ensure that daily debriefs are done per driver per route.
    • Perform other duties assigned by your direct manager.

    Skills and requirements

    • Experience in the courier/logistics industry is essential.
    • Experience on the Parcel Perfect system advantageous
    • Good Microsoft Office skills – proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent telephone etiquette and time management skills
    • Excellent problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills.
    • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Ability to cope well under pressure.

    Operations Manager- CPT

    Seabourne Logistics is looking for a dynamic and solution-driven Operations Manager to manage the operations process, planning, control, performance improvement and operations strategy. If this, is you, then take a quick look at our vacancy!

    More about the position

    • Managing all aspects of the operation
    • Overseeing the supervision of all employees in the operation
    • Ensure that operational staff are always smart and professional in their appearance (full uniform and PPE)
    • Make sure that all fleet vehicles are operating and maintained in a safe condition and cost-effective manner including daily monitoring of fuel slips and usage.
    • Conducting regular performance reviews with all operations staff
    • Maintaining a clean and professional and safe working environment
    • Ensure all client SLAs are met as per agreed times.
    • Ensure agents are monitored and measured against their performance
    • Ensure operational check sheet is completed daily
    • Ensure all reports are completed daily
    • Ensure operational standard operating procedures are adhered to.
    • Route optimization analysis
    • Operations staff discipline and SOP adherence
    • HR admin (managing overtime, council staff leave, AODs, fines and workers compensation)
    • Accident and Incident reports – submission and investigation
    • Manage operational stationery – orders and usage.
    • Manage all aspects of ad-hoc vehicle hire including PO numbers.
    • Manage requirements for and processing of ad-hoc linehaul orders.
    • Manage drivers PPDROID and OTP statistics.
    • Hold regular driver briefings (weekly)
    • Hold regular driver training (every 3 – 4 months)
    • General management of facilities (building condition, doors, locks, etc)
    • Perform general tasks in line with the role as required.

    Skills and requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years operational management/supervisory experience
    • Must have Grade 12 certificate.
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Organizational and time management abilities
    • Administrative skills
    • Strong leadership ability and good interpersonal skills
    • Good IR knowledge
    • Fleet control experience
    • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills
    • Team player with hands on approach who is willing to adapt to the company culture
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
