PURPOSE

We are looking for a stores controller to be responsible for management of inventory, requisition, receipt, issuing and recordings based on the operation needs. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock.
• Document control and completing the required paperwork on stock requisitions.
• Updating stock information on the computer system.
• Implementing or improving processes and procedures.
• Compiling reports and addressing inventory discrepancies.
• Performing random checks and audits.
• Generate monthly stores reports.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grader 12
• NQF Level 6 Logistics Management, Retail Business Management,
• Mechanical/Electrical Qualification
• Maintenance management course will be added advantages.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven 2 years' work experience in mining or construction as a stock controller,
• inventory manager, engineering supervisory position or similar role.

The purpose of this Programme is to provide the Graduate with advanced workplace learning in a specialised discipline in the field of study.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The incumbent will gain exposure to the following areas: 

• Tailings dam design, construction and operating requirements
• Gain understanding on the implementation GISM (Global industry standard on tailings management) on various Fraser Alexander sites
• Exposure to  technical reporting, presentation and technical meetings on tailings management
• Plant structures and civils works including designs exposure
• Exposure to the metallurgical processes

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree / BTech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

PURPOSE

This position exists to safely load, unload and transport various types of track and trackless equipment to various sites throughout South Africa.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely drive lowbed truck to assigned destination
• Safely load and offload equipment and machinery from one location to another
• Safely secure loads
• Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for pick up or delivery of equipment  including pre- and post-trips
• Identify and report any defects on the lowbed truck
• Perform light/routine maintenance (fueling, greasing, cleaning, change flat tyre, etc.) and upkeep of the lowbed truck
• Perform plant safety inspections
• Perform ad hoc duties as and when assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12
• Code 14 truck license and a valid PDP

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of five years’ experience in similar role
• Knowledge of cities in South Africa
• Mining environment exposure

PURPOSE

This position exists to ensure that electrical & instrumentation planning, installation, maintenance and repairs/replacement of all electrical equipment is done safe and efficient (MV & LV)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Trade test - MQA/MERSETA preferred
• Dual Trade certificate as Electrician as well as instrument technician/ mechanician required
• N3 - Electrical engineering subjects

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Siemens PLC and SCADA experience will be advantageous
