    Site Clerk (Gauteng)

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to manage the administration office of the business unit at a specific site by effectively planning activities, organising resources and controlling risks.
    • The role ensures the accurate, efficient and timely execution of all administrative functions in line with quality, productivity, efficiency and financial requirements.

     RESPONSIBILITIES

    Site Office Administration

    • Accurate completion of requisitions for all purchases.
    • Correct contract allocations on requisitions.
    • Ensure proper approvals are obtained for all purchases.
    • Maintain site costing documentation.

     Safety and Training Administration

    • Ensure that a backup of the database is available.
    • Preventing loss/damage of property in the office.
    • Ensuring proper housekeeping in the specific Site Office.

     Personnel Administration

    • Liaising between the Site Administrator and the Site/Contract Manager.
    • Liaising between the wage/payroll office and the HR department.
    • Compiling of the monthly HR report figures and forwarding of information to the Site Administrator.

     Wage Administration

    • Controlling, compiling and forwarding of time and attendance information and documents to the relevant recipients.
    • Registering and handling all wage employee queries.

    Communication

    • Ensure proper minutes of meetings are kept.
    • Ensure that the information on the minutes is discussed at the monthly communication meetings.
    • Act as a link between employees and the Site Administrator/ management at the site.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Grade 12.
    • Certificate in Finance/HR Administration.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 1 year of experience in the role or similar.
    • Relevant industry (mining, mining services, construction, heavy industry, etc.) will be advantageous.

    SHEQ Graduate (Gauteng)

    PURPOSE

    • The purpose of this programme is to provide a graduate with advanced workplace learning in a specialised discipline or sub-discipline in their field of study.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Junior Process Engineer (Mpumalanga)

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to provide technical support in the design, operation and optimisation of potable water, sewage and effluent treatment plants. The Junior Process Engineer will assist senior engineers and operations teams with process monitoring, troubleshooting, design reviews, compliance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     Process Support

    • Assist in monitoring and optimising plant performance for potable water, sewage and industrial effluent treatment systems.
    • Conduct daily/weekly process data reviews, mass balances and performance analyses.
    • Support troubleshooting of process issues and provide technical recommendations to operations teams.
    • Participate in pilot studies and trials of new technologies (e.g., nanobubbles, membranes and compact modular units).

    Design & Projects

    • Support process design calculations, drawings (PFDs, P&IDs) and basic engineering deliverables.
    • Assist in equipment sizing, specification preparation and vendor evaluations.
    • Participate in commissioning, testing and handover of new treatment plants.

    Compliance & Reporting

    • Collect and analyse water quality samples to ensure compliance with SANS 241, Regulation 3630 and other applicable standards.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly compliance and performance reports for clients and regulators.
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation, logs and plant records.

     SHEQ & Risk Management

    • Ensure safe work practices in accordance with OHS Act, MHSA, NEMA and internal SHEQ systems.
    • Support implementation of ISO 9001/14001, HACCP/FSSC 22000 (for food and beverage clients).
    • Identify and escalate process risks, incidents and non-conformances.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BEng/BSc/BTech in Chemical, Process, Water or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the role or similar.
    • Knowledge of water treatment processes (potable, sewage, industrial effluent).
    • Familiarity with South African water quality standards and regulatory frameworks will be advantageous.
    • Basic understanding of water chemistry, biological treatment, membranes, and process control, water treatment process flowsheets, mass balance calculations, equipment specifications, hydraulics and water quality parameters.
    • Proficiency in RO process modelling tools (WAVE, IMS Design, MM5) and basic PFD/P&ID exposure is desirable.

    SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
    • Ability to analyse trends, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.

    SHEQ Superintendent (Mpumalanga)

    PURPOSE

    • This position reports to the SHEQ Manager and it exists to manage and support company SHEQ initiatives achieve company objectives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Functional Management

    • Report to senior management on Strategic goals and implementation
    • Audit, evaluate and direct sites to maintain company SHEQ standards
    • Do inspections on physical conditions of plant
    • Identify and implement learning interventions to support SHEQ Management systems.
    • Assess and evaluate employee SHEQ competencies
    • Update training information on files and matrix
    • Do follow-up audits
    • Coordinate external training interventions Provide SHEQ advisory services to line management and employees
    • Establish, implement and ensure compliance with ISO standards
    • Draft quality assurance policies and procedures
    • Report on site SHEQ performance
    • Contractors/Sub-contractors management
    • Implement SHEQ projects
    • Investigate SHEQ incidents and ensure Implementation of corrective actions
    • Report of Incidents as per the DMPR requirements
    • Compile and distribute report to management
    • Ensure regular SHEQ committee meetings are held

    Stakeholder Management

    • Direct and continues engagement with the client, building and sustaining relationships
    • Balancing internal organizational requirement with internal and external stakeholders requirements

    SHEQ Management

    • Ensure sites SHEQ standards and procedures are aligned with client and legal requirements.
    • Assess sites SHEQ performance through formal `audits.
    • Monitor implementation of corrective actions and apply continues improvements
    • Assist in the roll out and monitor our Zero Harm Framework and FA Quality Framework in line with client requirements

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • B.Tech or equivalent
    • SAMTRAC, NADSAM Diploma
    • Working towards completion of National Diploma in Safety Management, 10 subjects as minimum completed L1. COMSOC 1 & 2 advantageous
    • Trade and / or Mine Overseer ticket advantageous

    EXPERIENCE

    • 3 years in SHEQ Management in Mining/Construction.
    • Experience in HSEC online and Isometrix
