    FTC Server Support Specialist

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain physical and virtual server environments, including Windows Server, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft Azure
    • Monitor system performance, implement preventive measures, and resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability
    • Perform server provisioning, configuration, patching, and upgrades as needed
    • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
    • Contribute to the design, implementation, and documentation of server infrastructure and processes
    • Perform backup and recovery processes including testing using the tools and technology deployed in PetroSA to ensure business hardware & software availability
    • Implement work practices relating to all aspects of server support and adhere to PetroSA’s IS policies, procedures to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of IS systems
    • Provide timely and effective technical support to internal customers (Departments/Teams)
    • Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding server-related issues, maintenance windows, and service updates

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree/NQF Lev 7 qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification or equivalent 

    Minimum Experience:

    • 5 years of experience in server administration and support, including virtualization technologies (VMware), Windows Server (2008 - 2022), monitoring tools, cloud services (Microsoft Azure), Microsoft 365, and enterprise storage systems

    FTC Cloud Productivity Specialist

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
    • Implement and maintain Microsoft Intune for device management and configuration
    • Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for endpoint protection and advanced threat protection
    • Deploy and maintain Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions
    • Implement information protection policies and data loss prevention measures
    • Manage Azure virtual machines and related services
    • Facilitate cloud-to-on-premises data synchronization and integration
    • Collaborate with identity and access management teams to manage Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Premium (Entra ID)

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7)/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent certification will be an added advantage

    Minimum Experience:

    • 5 years of experience in administering and supporting cloud productivity services, including Microsoft 365, Azure, security, identity management, and virtual machine management

    FTC Web Applications Developer

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, code, test, implement and maintain programmes and applications in a multi - platform environment to ensure efficient and optimised operational programmes
    • Introduce and develop new business relevant content, solutions and manage the enhancement of existing portal content and systems in line with PetroSA Enterprise Architecture principles and standards and conforms to evolving business needs to ensure enhanced performance of existing systems
    • Participate in, coordinate and review all phases of the software development life cycle to ensure that the development conforms to performance optimisation and interoperability standards and requirements
    • Coordinate and monitor all aspects and phases of the project which include: the project objectives, scope costs, timelines, resources, outcomes, success measures problem resolution, and risks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and according to project compliance 
    • Manage the identification of potential Web application, systems and risks and develop and implement risk mitigation to ensure the risks are managed and mitigated 
    • Manage the back-up and recovery processes for WEB services, including testing, using the tools and technology deployed in PetroSA to ensure business critical information is secure
    • Implement information services policies and procedures and make recommendations on changes to policy/procedures and work practices to ensure alignment to the provisions of current legislation
    • Analyse internal and external environmental factors, evaluate and report on national and international trends and statistics and design and implement interventions to introduce best practice to ensure trends for improvement and best practice are identified and implemented
    • Execute incident management process by logging and resolving calls logged on the incident management system within SLA and constantly monitor the system for any incidents relating to the WEB services and escalating incidents with service providers when required to ensure timely resolution of incidents
    • Execute IS asset management process for WEB Services to ensure an inventory of all development assets are recorded and maintained

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • B Degree/BSc Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF Lev 7) in Information Systems or Computer Science

    Minimum Experience:

    • 3-5 years relevant experience in web applications development, maintenance and administration of web applications and SQL scripting with at least 3 - 4 years’ experience in visual studio, SharePoint, power Automate, and WordPress development

    FTC IS Application Specialist (HR)

    Responsibilities:

    • Execute request management process by logging and resolving calls logged on the incident management system within SLA and constantly monitor the system for any incidents relating to the Application services and escalating incidents with service providers when required to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
    • Monitor progress of requests and carry out general or site-specific modifications or define enhancements to be escalated to systems developers or software suppliers keeping the users and other interested parties informed of the corrective action to ensure logged problems are resolved according to customer's satisfaction.
    • Document any changes to applications and load these changes into the Configuration Management Database so that the systems configuration documentation is up to date at all times.
    • Liaise with system development staff or software suppliers on the development of system enhancements, produce technical specifications, accept new releases of application software, and perform testing and quality assurance on application changes and developments to ensure known problems are overcome and user requirements are fulfilled and aligned to PetroSA development standards.
    • Monitor applications by regular scrutiny of reports from the applications software, or service delivery staff in accordance with agreed procedures, oversee incident, problem, change, configuration, and capacity management of relevant applications to ensure that applications function according to organisational requirements.
    • Perform root cause analysis and problem trend analysis, take corrective action to improve application performance and to avoid problems arising, document findings and produce reports to ensure problems are noted and performance trends are identified.
    • Provide an advisory service to line management on applications to ensure that requests are aligned to current functional applications.
    • Analyses internal and external environmental factors, evaluate and report on national and international trends and statistics and design and implement interventions to introduce best practice to ensure trends for improvement and best practice is identified.
    • Contain expenditure within the budget guidelines and implement opportunities for improved financial performance to ensure the cost efficiency of application systems and optimal utilisation of funds for service delivery.
    • Provide technical advice and assistance to internal and external customers regarding requests or queries related to the shared services applications department to ensure the delivery of quality customer service.
    • Transfer application and software knowledge and skills to Shared Services Applications team to ensure skills and knowledge transfer.
    • Provide training for Super/Power Users on the Applications to ensure that they are upskilled to train other users.   

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7)/B Degree in Information Systems or B Sc in Computer Science

    Minimum Experience:

    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Application Development of which 2-3 was spent in a SAP HR (Payroll, Time, OM, PD) environment
