    Finance Admin & Reconciliations Team Leader

    Description

    • Lead the Finance Admin & Reconciliations team, ensuring operational accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client experience. The role demands strong technical expertise in finance administration, reconciliations, and vendor management, combined with proven leadership skills.
    • This role is critical to maintain operational integrity, driving efficiency, and strengthen relationships across stakeholders and vendors, ensuring Investec's finance administration and reconciliation functions operate at the highest standards.

    Experience, skills and capability

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leadership: Direct, inspire, and develop the team; manage daily operations; ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external vendors; represent the team in relevant forums on best practices, regulatory updates, and technology developments.
    • Operational Oversight: Oversee all finance admin and reconciliation processes; ensure accurate fund flows and account reconciliations; maintain compliance while driving process efficiency through technology.
    • Analytics & Reporting: Analyse performance metrics, KRIs (Key Risk Indicators), and discrepancies; manage rectification queues; provide insights for operational improvements.
    • Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve complex queries, interbank disputes, and reconciliation anomalies promptly and effectively.
    • Technical Proficiency: Manage systems and reconciliation tools; collaborate on enhancements; maintain process documentation and test packs.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to banking regulations and industry standards; stay informed of trends and changes.
    • Training & Development: Create and deliver training; mentor staff in finance admin and reconciliation best practices; support career growth.
    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks; manage incidents and business continuity plans for the function.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills

    • B-Comm or related financial degree with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role
    • Sound knowledge of Private Bank products, processing and workflow systems
    • Excellent MS Excel skills
    • Understanding & navigating of an operational environment

    Digital Segment Lead – Client Acquisition

    Description of the role 

    • Responsible for leading, shaping, and delivering digital strategies that drive client acquisition across defined market segments. This role acts as a trusted advisor and transformation partner across digital, technology, data, marketing, and frontline teams to convert high-intent prospects into valuable clients through seamless, data-enabled digital journeys.
    • The Digital Segment Lead (Acquisitions) owns the strategic direction and operational execution of digital acquisition campaigns, tools, and touchpoints – from awareness and lead generation through to onboarding. They ensure alignment with the organisation's growth strategy, segment objectives, and compliance standards.

    Key responsibilities

    Segment-Led Acquisition Strategy

    • Define in partnership with segment leads the digital acquisition roadmap for the target segment, including digital channels, messaging, journeys, and conversion levers
    • Translate segment insights into prioritized digital journeys, nudges, and value propositions that resonate with prospective clients
    • Align acquisition efforts with product readiness, credit policy, and onboarding capabilities

    Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Collaborate with Technology, Marketing, Data, Risk, and Compliance teams to build and refine scalable digital acquisition journeys
    • Drive integration of digital with human channels (e.g., bankers and the client support centre) where relevant for conversion

    Performance Management

    • Track, analyse, and optimize acquisition funnels from top-of-funnel to conversion, using KPIs such as CPL, CAC, and digital onboarding rates.
    • Run test-and-learn initiatives (A/B, multivariate, audience segmentation) to refine acquisition campaigns.

    Technology & Service Enablement

    • Guide delivery of digital capabilities (e.g., prequalification tools, document upload, eKYC, QR journey starts) that enable acquisition.
    • Partner with platform and product teams to ensure service availability and readiness for scale

    Financial & Compliance Oversight

    • Monitor acquisition spend against budget to ensure cost-efficiency and alignment with ROI target
    • Ensure all acquisition activities meet regulatory, data privacy, and risk requirements

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills required

    • 7+ years in a digital product manager, client acquisition strategy, digital transformation lead role, ideally within financial services or fintech.
    • Experience with the e-commerce environment beneficial
    • Proven experience launching and scaling digital acquisition initiatives
    • Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics, data-driven optimization, and journey design
    • Deep knowledge of acquisition funnels, from lead generation to digital onboarding
    • Strong analytical skills 
    • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence
    • Understanding of digital regulatory and data compliance (e.g., POPIA, FICA)
    • Outcome-driven mindset with a bias for experimentation and iteration
    • Exposure to HNW/Bespoke acquisition models
    • Experience with CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics) personalization platforms, or client onboarding systems
    • Background in banking, insurance, or investment products
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Jira
