The responsibilities of a Used Vehicle Sales Manager include the following tasks:

• Maximizing sales and profitability through satisfaction and retention of customers to meet sales forecast.
• Developing the necessary sales organization to meet sales and profitability objectives.
• Ensuring optimum stock of vehicles on premises.
• Ensuring cost control to budget within the department.
• Ensure adequate product display material is available.
• Review all pricing policies, discounts and “trade-in” dealing to maintain Dealership profitability.
• Monitor financial performance of sales department weekly.
• Ensure that customer complaints are dealt with timeously and effectively.
• Ensure that departmental customer satisfaction/ expectation targets are met.
• Ensure direct and indirect costs remain within Company prescribed parameters.
• Establish the staffing levels and the training required to achieve sales objectives.
• Ensure that all floorplan activities are monitored.
• Ensure stock level is kept within company policy requirements.
• Maximize sale of back-end products.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience needed:

• Matric
• Previous Vehicle Sales Manager Experience
• Previous experience with Used Premium brands, is advantageous.
• Must have internet leads/ sales experience

The responsibilities of a Technician include the following tasks:

• To carry out diagnostic work and support mechanics as instructed by the Foreman
• To provide advice and support to mechanics on technical matters
• To carry out fault diagnosis to aid and speed vehicle servicing
• To ensure diagnostic equipment is used for vehicle examinations
• To take steps to ensure servicing of vehicle, remains within the targeted percentages of the manufacturers' time
• To ensure standards maintained with vehicle care and safety whilst performing functions
• To ensure vehicles are returned to the customer after service in a neat and clean condition
• Ensure diagnosis leads to most cost-effective and accurate remedy to fault or customer complaint
• To recommend purchase of capital equipment

Admin functions:

• To complete forms and documentation included in the company's service routine
• To draft and prepare any reports required
• Ensure effective communication with staff, across departments, with customers and service providers
• Willingness to participate in marketing campaigns when required for the furtherance of the business.
• IMPORTANT – Standby and the responsibility thereto is a compulsory function of this position and no relaxation on this will be accepted. 

Minimum requirement:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Diesel Technician on commercial vehicles.
• Qualified Diesel Technician
• Valid driver’s licence
• UD Truck Experience advantageous

Job Description

• The Service Advisor will be responsible to maximize service sales and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by doing the following:
• To maximise service sales by using professional sales techniques
• To ensure the security of cash taken
• To create customer confidence in the brand by ensuring professional and knowledgeable performance To ensure the highest level of efficiency and courtesy when dealing with the customer

• To record and update service history and vehicle details accurately

• To perform daily follow-ups with customers

• To ensure completed jobs are not released without verified payment
• To ensure all CPA documentation is completed correctly as required by the Law
• To ensure the Company's quoting policy is adhered to
• To ensure payment arrangements are confirmed prior to commencement of job Confirm type of job before opening job card If customer has service / maintenance plan, ensure authorization is received
• Ensure costing's correct as per costing Matrix / authorization Obtain authorization from customer for any additional work required
• To ensure cash sale policies are adhered to Control your vehicles on the work-in-progress report Deposits to be taken on jobs over R 5,000 Ensure deposits of no less than 50% taken from customers on quotes exceeding R 5,000 Ensure that repair waiver forms are completed and signed by the customer
• To ensure filing system is up to date

Specific Role Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the Branch maximizes gross profit and ensures unit sales, Rand sales and 2nd gross targets are met.
• Working closely with the F&I Manager to ensure that all financial and insurance requirements are adhered to.
• Stock and Asset Management - ensuring that stock and cash is managed accordingly.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the branch, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and financial performance
• Lead and manage the branch team, ensuring all staff are motivated, trained, and achieving their targets

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Experience: 

• 3 years experience in a managerial role within the automotive industry, preferably in a used car dealership setting

Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 12
• NCA qualification

Minimum Requirements: 

• A valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required
• Computer literate
• An understanding of the compliance governing the retail industry would be an advantage
• Knowledge of the area’s most spoken languages an advantage.  
• An understanding of Auto Pedigree products and services.
