    Physical Rehabilitation Therapy Manager At Nurture Aurora-Gqerbha

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • As the Therapy Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the interdisciplinary therapy team (including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy), ensuring optimal clinical outcomes and the delivery of person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation care. This role requires a balance of clinical leadership, operational oversight, and team development, with a focus on quality improvement and patient satisfaction.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the therapy team.
    • Coordinate and monitor patient treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
    • Use data to measure therapy outcomes and implement improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure all therapy services meet internal policies, external regulations, and accreditation standards.
    • Lead and support professional development and performance of therapy staff.
    • Collaborate with nursing, medical, and support teams to provide integrated care.
    • Engage with patients and families to promote participation in therapy and long-term wellness.
    • Set measurable objectives and tasks to improve function and quality of life according to ICF framework. 

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Up-to-date registration with the HPCSA (independent practitioner) as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
    • Proven experience in the rehabilitation of neural, orthopaedic, and spinal-cord injuries.
    • Previously managed a team comprising of more than 5 people.
    • Minimum Salary: R41 608,73 Cost to Company (including benefits)

    Registered Nurse

    • The Nurture Health Group requires a Registered Nurse who will be based at our Nurture Cape View physical rehabilitation facility in Cape Town, reporting to the Nursing Manager.

    REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

    • Grade 12 with the relevant nursing qualifications
    • Registered with the South African Nursing Council
    • 3 years or more experience as a Registered Nurse within an ICU/High care environment essential

    Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary At Nurture Cape View

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • As an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (ENA), you’ll support our nursing and therapy teams to deliver high-quality care in an acute and sub-acute rehabilitation setting. Working under the direction of a Registered/Professional Nurse, you’ll help patients with daily activities, monitor their progress and contribute to a safe, dignified environment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, feeding, mobility/positioning, elimination, pressure care).
    • Take and record vital signs, blood glucose, and fluid balances; promptly escalate concerns.
    • Support wound care, basic dressings (within scope), specimen collection and simple procedures as delegated.
    • Prepare beds/wards, maintain infection prevention & control standards (PPE, cleaning of equipment).
    • Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges; provide patient and family support and orientation.
    • Document care accurately and timeously in line with policy; safeguard patient privacy and dignity.
    • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (Nursing, Physio, OT, Speech, Social Work) to meet rehab goals.
    • Participate in shift, weekend and public-holiday rosters as required.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Current SANC registration as Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary 
    • Completed ENA programme with proof of competency; BLS/CPR certificate (advantageous)
    • Prior exposure to rehab, sub-acute, long-term care or private hospital (advantageous)
    • Basic wound & pressure care, safe patient handling, falls prevention, IPC standards
    • Compassionate bedside manner, fitness for duty, computer literacy (beneficial), right to work in SA, clear criminal record

    Occupational Therapist At Nurture Cape View

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • As the Occupational Therapist, you will focus on hands-on clinical care—assessing each patient’s functional needs, designing evidence-based treatment plans, and guiding them toward greater independence in everyday activities. You will contribute your expertise to an interdisciplinary team committed to person-centred rehabilitation and measurable, high-quality outcomes.

    REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

    • Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy with community-service year completed
    • Registered with the HPCSA as an independent practitioner and covered by malpractice insurance
    • CPD portfolio up to date in line with HPCSA standards
    • Bobath / Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) training an advantage
    • Basic or intermediate wheelchair assessment/prescription skills beneficial
    • FCE training beneficial
    • Driving assessment training beneficial
    • Keen interest in both paediatric and adult neurological rehabilitation
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in neurology, cognitive therapy, and spinal-cord injury care
    • Broad clinical exposure, including orthopaedics, SCI, and neurology
    • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within an interdisciplinary team
    • Valid driver’s licence and reliable own transport
