Job Description
The successful candidate will form part of the personal lines pricing and product development team. The main responsibility of the candidate will be to build and improve pricing models to achieve set business targets.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Understanding the different data sources and the value of the input data provided
• Analysing data to be able to provide insights to business problems across company
• Using statistical models to find appropriate solutions for business problems across company
• Building pricing models using actuarial pricing techniques which includes data preparation, risk factor identification and applying different modelling techniques including Generalised Linear Models
• Implementing new pricing models which includes system implementation and documentation of modelling process
• Monitoring loss ratios and key performance indicators to identify opportunities to improve pricing models and / or product design features
• Develop and design new products to enhance product offering to clients
• Presenting results to senior management and other stakeholders

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Honours Degree in Actuarial Science
• Successfully completed the Foundation & Intermediate Technical actuarial examinations (A1 & A2)
• Preferably also completed the Actuarial Risk Management exam (A3)
• 0-3 years’ experience in actuarial analytics role
• Ideally have experience in SQL and / or C#
• Good academic track record
• Solid interpersonal skills to work effectively alongside a variety of different stakeholders

Job Description
Purpose of the role is to conduct governance, financial and operational process audits on the various business areas within the Group.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of an Internal Auditor include auditing the various business processes within the OUTsurance Group and requires the following:

• Participation in, and on occasion leading of audit reviews, delivering audit outputs which include final reports within agreed timescales and in accordance with Internal Audit Standards.

This entails:

• Conducting a preliminary survey to obtain an understanding of the area and processes under review, in order to establish the scope of the audit. This includes risk analysis, audit program design, documentation of process flows, etc.
• Performing of the audit fieldwork in accordance with the audit program.
• Populating working papers with good quality planning, fieldwork and reporting material on a timely basis.
• Liaising effectively with the audit-manager or -lead.
• Liaising effectively with clients at departmental level to ensure efficient completion of individual reviews, exhibiting appropriate soft skills.
• Carrying out debriefs with department managers to communicate the results of the internal audit reviews, and ensuring that the scale and scope of the deliverables resulting from audit recommendations are adequately understood.
• The drafting of the audit report, highlighting the relevant control weaknesses, risks, and recommendations, including management’s comments on the findings.
• General administrative tasks with regard to the audit file and subsequent follow-up and tracking of audit findings.  
• Evaluating and monitoring of corrective actions taken to address control weaknesses identified.
• Participating in internal departmental work and key standing tasks such as Board and Audit Committee reporting, as requested.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA); and
• Five years’ experience within the audit field.

Experience:

• Auditing in the insurance environment will be advantageous.
• IFRS 17 experience will be advantageous.
• Exposure to IT audits (including application testing) will be advantageous.
• Data Analytics experience will be advantageous.

Job Description
We are looking for an accountant who wishes to build a career within the Group Finance department.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge and interest in the field of accounting. The responsibilities of this role will include the following:

• Preparing and capturing month end journals
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing annual financial statements for the stand-alone Holdings company as well as assisting in preparing the Group consolidated financial statements
• Preparing monthly statutory balance sheet and income statement from TB data
• Assist in preparing the bi-annual statutory group returns
• Assist in preparing the Group budget
• Preparing normalised and headline earnings adjustment journals
• Assist with preparing and posting Share Trust journals
• Assist with the consolidation of the Group on a monthly basis
• Assist with implementing new IFRS projects
• Assist with implementing a new system for financial statements and consolidations
• Adhoc review and posting of journals
• Adhoc National Credit Regulator reporting on a quarterly basis
• Adhoc general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with general / ad-hoc tasks as required
• The candidate will report into the Group Team Manager

Qualifications

• Newly qualified CA(SA) or CA(SA) with one-year post articles experience

Experience

• Experience in the financial services/insurance industry and experience with consolidations.
• Microsoft Dynamics experience would also be beneficial.
