    National Skincare Expert (Estee Lauder & La Mer)

    Description
    Conduct technical education at salons:

    • Educate staff in salons about brand's professional products theory, including techniques, applications, and unique selling points.
    • Educate and inspire staff in salons on current trends by running workshops for S/S, F/W.

    Facilitate retail and professional calendar classes at Education Center:

    • Retail Programs: New staff, Ritual & Selling Skills, Performance.
    • Professional Programs: FSD, Gray Coverage, Puretone Solution 1 & 2, Trend Color, Trend Style, Damage Remedy and Scalp Remedy Renewal, Treatment.

    Conduct In⁃salon training:

    • Improve retail and professional product sales for salons.
    • Educate new staff and stylists for concept salon.
    • Solve individual problems and issues for every salon.
    • Conduct product sales training for internal sales staff (SDPs).
    • Provide training for newly opened salons.

    Create and update salon educational material: 

    • Create documentation for new products related salon retail, and professional products.
    • Update retail product orientation and professional product/technique material. Update in⁃salon training material.
    • Create training documents for SDPs.

    Assist team and other departments:

    • Assist or advanced care training for daymakers and PPT.
    • Assist in technical education for concept salon promotional events.
    • Assist PR team: SAFA backstage work/events/Press launches.
    • Assist salon marketing team: Technical advice and support on locally developed trend collection brochures, salon services, and salon brochures.
    • Assist professional product tests when necessary.
    • Collect and report feedback on calendar class training.

    Qualifications

    • College degree and/or cosmetology license
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a beauty/salon technical educator
    • Multi National Company experience is preferred
    • Verbal/Written English communicaion skills

    Regional Sales Manager (Gauteng)
    The key objectives of this role is to manage and achieve retail sales growth/targets as well as brands' net sales goals:

    • Manage District Managers/ AE's and territory/region - Achieve Brand sales targets. Further develop relationships with retailers and ensure implementation of sales/marketing strategies. Manage Make-up Artists effectively in order to ensure customer growth, Brand awareness and Operational Excellence.

    Ensures Customer and Market Growth

    • Implement and drive retail sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales objectives and meet expense budgets/demonstration costs.  In conjunction with Marketing and PR manager ensure events are achieving budget, retail sales and productivity. Work with Education Manager to ensure customer service and Make-up Artists skills/ productivity achieve set targets.  Ensure that marketing calendar plans are implemented. Actively pursue ongoing development of professional business relationships with Store management using effective influencing and negotiation skills. Conduct Strategy presentations to each store team on a six monthly basis.  Negotiate and confirm undertakings given by Store team following the Strategy presentation. Ensure client registry's are maintained. Ensure Make-up Artists have an activity plan to drive sales. Be proactive in managing stock levels in store. In conjunction with Brand Manager assist in the formulation of the Retail Sales targets by Store Group and Regions. Assist in the development of seasonal and business plans for presentation, negotiation, follow-up and implementation with each retail store group. Provide a sustainable competitive advantage by running Woolworths, Edgars, Red Square and Foschini as the Key Accounts Manager.

    Manages Operational effectiveness

    • Communicate with AE's ensuring sales strategies are implemented and budget maintained. Analyze demo costs in line with budgets and provide feedback to the Brand Manager. Following the national direction for sales growth, calculate territory sales targets by week / month and season. Ensure stores keep within the allocated tester budget for the season. Maintain high level and standard of communication - with AE's, store management teams, counter teams and head office. Ensure merchandising and visual presentation of all counters are in accordance with relevant Merchandising guidelines. Ensure all stores have the necessary selling tools to perform their responsibilities. Consistently place all relevant information on Make-up Artist's personnel files.

    Improves Business Processes

    • Identify weaknesses in business and strengths for further business development: provide recommendations, and where approved, implement decisive strategies accordingly. Monitor penetration and business activities of key competitors - providing suggestions to Brand Manager on appropriate action. Provide timely feedback to the head office team on business opportunities and results of current marketing activities. Ensures monthly itinerary is submitted. Follow up on outstanding stock items. Creates excitement regards all in-house incentives and competitions by motivating Make-up Artist's to compete.

    Lead and Develop People

    • Coach and develop Make-up Artists within territory to maximize individual and team performance. Recruit new team members as required to Brand image and style. Actively monitor turnover of staff. Conduct regular team meetings.  Conduct formal annual assessment of Make-up Artist and AE's performance.  

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field
    • 5–7 years’ retail sales experience, with at least 3 years in a people management role
    • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
    • Strong track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
    • Experience working with key accounts like Woolworths, Edgars, Foschini, etc.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
    • Strong analytical and budgeting skills; able to interpret KPIs and drive performance
    • Highly organized with strong planning, administrative, and operational skills
    • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Knowledge of X-Store POS systems and Power BI an advantage
    • Able to work independently, manage change, and solve problems effectively
    • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
    • Passion for the beauty and luxury retail industry
    • Willing and able to travel regionally as required
    • Must have experience in Retail Sales Management, preferably Cosmetics
