    Environment and Safety Controller

    Key outputs and responsibilities:

    Fleet & Safety Supervisor - SAB Ga-Rankuwa Depot

    The key accountabilities for this role include but are not restricted to:

    • Including ABInBev Safety Policy and Standards and Corporate Governance and ensures protection of stakeholder interests through the mitigation at source of loss and safety risk, pure and speculative across the broad spectrum of the AB-InBev operations

    Packaging Process Artisan - Chamdor Brewery

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:
    Operating and Process Control

    • Operating the process area according to the work instructions and adhering to usage standards
    • Carrying out the required quality checks as described in the quality control and analysis work practice
    • Recording waste on the appropriate documentation or information systems, and reviewing waste trends to identify problems or opportunities timeously
    • Constantly reviewing process performance against target, and completing all short interval control documentation
    • Responding rapidly to upstream or downstream triggers that result in stoppages
    • Appropriate problem-solving approaches, as detailed in the problem-solving work practice must be followed

    PPM Specialist

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development and execution of solutions and strategies that align with ABI's core values within the Trade Marketing function.

    Packaging Machine Specialist

    OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

    • Provide specialist support for coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer of machine operation to shift based teams

    Lab Technician (Micro) - Newlands Brewery

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Aseptically Sampling, Handling and Preparation for microbiological analysis
    • Sterilization of Culture media using techniques like autoclaving and Isolation of Microorganisms

    Perform various Micro Techniques, such as:

    • Colony counts (e.g., pour plating, spread plating).
    • Microbial identification using biochemical tests, staining techniques (e.g., Gram stain), and microscopy.
    • Molecular techniques (e.g., PCR) if trained and required.
    • Operate and calibrate specialized lab equipment, including microscopes, incubators, autoclaves, centrifuges, and other analytical instruments.

    Quality Control and Assurance:

    • Maintain detailed and organized records, ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance.​
    • Analyze and interpret data from tests, including reading plates for bacterial counts and evaluating microbial growth.​
    • Assist with report writing and presentations as needed.​
    • Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of reagents, media, supplies, and consumables.​
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile laboratory environment including waste management of biohazardous substances etc.​
    • Participate in the development and optimization of microbiological methods and procedures.

    Governance:

    Maintenance of Equipment:

    • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of laboratory equipment. 
    • Develop work instruction to empower autonomous maintenance of equipment, to ensure its uptime 
    • Identify defective equipment, and report these to the Team Leader, Instrumentation Technician and Lab Specialist 

    Communication: 

    • Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. Making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities 
    • Make use of relevant communication media to stay informed and inform others of issues
    • Utilizing VPO digital tools to improve understanding of process and standards
    • Required to escalate out-of-control processes to all Stakeholders
    • Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated

    Problem-Solving:

    • Ensure Problem solving for all out-of-control processes using the VPO problem solving tools to resolve and record the issues

    Packaging Machine Specialist - Alrode Brewery

    OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

    • Provide specialist support for coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer of machine operation to shift based teams
    • This will include standby, day shift and when requested after a time frame that standby will need expert advice or support
    • Where requested, assist as a functional expert in problem solving for the plant and support to zone
    • Take part, as functional expert, in regional and central office plant optimization trials
    • Provide additional support to process artisan on machine operation, machine fault finding and correct responses to machine failure modes
    • Upskill process artisans with latest SWI for machine setups or machine restorations

    PLANNED MAINTENANCE

    • Take part in maintenance planning meeting, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required
    • Ensure backlog meets minimum hours and schedules are reviewed as per required frequency
    • Carry out work during the planned maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the planner
    • Assist fellow team members in the execution of their tasks in during planned maintenance windows
    • Partake in maintenance postmortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities

    ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

    • Partake in ATO cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner must be resolved using the appropriate problem-solving techniques
    • If carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule where problems have been uncovered du ring routine maintenance, these required, additional resources may be called to assist
    • Where problems have been uncovered, and it is required to include the work in the planned maintenance schedule, this must be communicated to the Maintenance Planner
    • Carry out condition monitoring activities where these have been allocated to the Technician in accordance with the ZCM schedule
