    Electrical Technician - (ENG-L3.81)

    Role responsibilities

    • Delivering client proposals and tenders in conjunction with Zutari’s client strategic objectives such as bid planning facilitation, writing, technical inputs, and costing.
    • Ensuring full responsibility and accountability for all design aspects within electrical & electronic services, within the Built Environment, from conceptional to final design.
    • Developing specifications, cost estimates, and final construction tender documentation.
    • Implementation of all relevant codes of practice and ensuring that all design aspects / project standards comply with Zutari’s quality control procedures.

    Senior Ports & Coastal Engineer - (ENG-L6.140)

    Key role accountabilities

    • Creating conceptual, preliminary, and detail designs.
    • Design coordination and project management.
    • Technical review and verification of others’ design on high-level.
    • Contribution to winning work via bids and proposals.
    • Familiarity with international codes and standards related to marine and coastal design as well as structural analysis.
    • Active coordination and interfacing with different stakeholders, teams, and clients on multi-disciplinary projects, e.g. environmental services, local municipalities and authorities, architects and developers, and of course, other engineering disciplines.

    Minimum requirements

    • BSc / MSc, or BEng and MEng qualifications relevant to structural and/or marine engineering.

    Electrical BIM Modelle - (BIM-L3.2)

    Role responsibilities

    • Demonstrates the ability to prepare accurate models and information under the guidance of a more senior modeller.

    Electrical Site Representative – Owners Engineer - (ENG-L8.61)

    About the Roles.

    • Zutari is looking for Electrical Site Representatives to join the Owner’s Engineer (OE) team on various utility-scale renewable energy projects across a number of provinces in (Western Cape, Northern Cape, Free State & Eastern Cape) South Africa.
    • These site roles are critical to ensuring that all electrical works from LV/MV/HV installations through to commissioning and completion are constructed in full compliance with the contract, design specifications, and applicable national standards.
    • The ideal candidate is a hands-on electrical engineer with strong construction oversight experience and a proven track record on large-scale energy or infrastructure projects. These positions are available on projects located across different regions of South Africa, offering an opportunity to contribute to the country’s growing renewable energy sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Represent the Owner’s Engineer on-site during construction and commissioning of all electrical systems.
    • Oversee and inspect electrical installation works, including MV/HV switchgear, transformers, cabling, protection systems, and SCADA integration.
    • Monitor EPC contractor performance, ensuring compliance with employers’ requirements, design, technical specs, and timelines.
    • Enforce quality assurance processes, test protocols, and corrective action measures.
    • Witness FATs and SATs where required, ensuring functional and safe electrical commissioning.
    • Support interface management between civil, mechanical, and electrical workstreams.
    • Report regularly on progress, risks, deviations, and HSE issues.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BEng, BTech, or ND in Electrical Engineering.

    • 2 completed utility-scale energy projects in a construction supervision or OE role will be highly advantageous.
    • Solid understanding of MV and HV systems, and electrical commissioning procedures.
    • Strong command of QA/QC documentation and HSE compliance.
    • Able to interpret single-line diagrams, technical drawings, and electrical specifications.

    Key Role Accountabilities

    Senior Civil 3D Modeller - (DM-L5.34)

    Key Role responsibilities

    • The preferred candidate will be leading design components within the Energy and Industrial civil sector of Zutari`s offshoring department. The role includes close interaction with engineers and client representative on design components with design collaboration on a constant basis. The role further requires the integration and mentoring of junior staff into the various design aspects within the industry. The role requires the individual to provide output of high quality and technical complex designs. The individual needs to perform well in a fast-paced work environment with quick deliverable turnaround times.
    • Generating Civil 3D models and drawings by using surface and pipe network creation tools. This design generation should be on an advanced level within Civil 3D.
    • Generating/export models for interdisciplinary coordination within Navisworks and/or Infraworks
    • Providing draughting capabilities to the Civil Engineering project related department, specifically within industrial/ energy and petrochemical projects.
    • Aiding civil engineers, technologists, and technicians on all draughting and design aspects relating to civil engineering projects within our global design centre.

    Senior Materials Technician - (ENG-L5.150)

    Role responsibilities

    Project Delivery: 

    • Assist with Technical input to the progress reports on all works being carried out at the site
    • Review and monitor testing equipment, identify deficiency of performance before the occurrence of quality issues.
    • Ensure site work, laboratory tests and designs are carried out in accordance with specification requirements, codes and standards, HSE regulations.
    • Ensure proper record keeping of all corresponding information are maintained up to date
    • Manage acceptance control operations on site.
    • Ensure strict safety and security regulations compliance, and that environmental protection measures during construction are properly carried out.
    • Support Engineer’s Representative (Resident Engineer) and Client in delivering project in line with requirement, time frame and meets quality requirement
    • Apply Site Management System based on ISO 9001 QMS

    Minimum requirements

    • N.Dip in Civil Engineering with minimum of 10 Years’ experience in the Materials Field, or Pr Techni Eng with minimum of 5 Years’ experience in the Materials Field
    • Experience as Senior Materials Technician (SMT) on Roads project/s is required
    • Thorough working knowledge of specifications and Bill of Quantities (COLTO / COTO, SANS 1200, project specific etc.)

    Relevance of Experience (Project Type)

    • The Applicant is required to have experience as a Senior Materials Technician (SMT) in “Development” Improvement” (Road upgrades) and/or “Development New Facilities” (New Road Infrastructure projects) (indicate relevant project type for each of three projects). Structural Experience would be beneficial.
