Introduction

RCL FOODS is seeking an HRIS officer to join our Group services Division. The role will be based in Westville and report to the HRIS Controller. The purpose of the role is to provide support to the HRIS Controller in implementation and control of Time and Attendance best practice and Organisational Management (OM) on SAP HCM. Drive and enable the effective and accurate utilization of the BESTime T&A system, OrgChartNow, HR workflows, SharePoint, reporting tools and interfaces. Ensuring that the T&A system is maintained and used correctly to accurately record employees time and attendance records for upload into the payroll systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant I.T Degree or equivalent preferably with an Information Systems focus
• Experience in Time & Attendance systems and procedures will be an added advantage
• Experience using SAP Organizational Management principles and practices
• Must have worked on Business processes and SOP’s
• SharePoint administration level (Permissions, document management, interfaces, configuration and web applications)
• Excel Super-user level
• OrgChartNow Super-user level
• SAP HCM modules
• Valid Code EB drivers’ licence

Job Description

We are currently looking for skilled Commercial Managers for future roles at a site in the Gauteng (Sites include: Randfontein, Krugersdorp, Pretoria West). The successful incumbent will provide direct commercial support and insight to the business and customer team, facilitate the development of commercial engagement with the rest of the business and deliver enhanced customer and business profitability and costing information designed to unlock margin opportunities and assist in focused strategic decision-making.

Minimum Requirements    

• CA (SA) or Completed CIMA.
• 8 years’ experience, including commercial costing and people management.
• SAP experience would be advantageous
• Manufacturing environment experience would be advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Annual Budgeting and Quarterly/Monthly Forecasting
• Complete the annual target and quarterly forecasting processes in accordance with the national time scheduling and guidelines.
• Ensure completion of annual capex target, including collation of information and liaison with operations.
• Report financial performance of the regional agriculture function on a monthly basis in the agreed format that will include commentary on key performance areas.
• Calculate returns on investment for proposed budgeted capital projects in order to assist management with the prioritisation of capex, and ensuring that capital targets are aligned with Group allocations of funds.
• Report the targets and forecasts according to the formats supplied by National Office.
• Interpret the final outcome of the target and forecasts ensuring that they reflect the strategic objectives of the business and initiating changes where necessary.

Cost Control

• Analyse costs against target/forecast and investigate variances on a monthly basis.
• Continuously consider cost saving opportunities or areas where inefficiencies can be eliminated and influence corrective action by line management.
• Review and authorise contract grower payments.
• Set prices for by products to maximise revenue

CAPEX Management

• Identify capex opportunities to unlock profit of the operations within the context of Group capex requirements and strategy.
• Prepare and follow up on capex motivations.
• Prepare post capex reviews.
• Review capex applications and ensure ROI requirements are met.
• Comply with capex applications and procure to payment processes (payments must comply with approved bills of work).
• Evaluate capex vs. maintenance decisions by applying company guidelines and accounting practices.

Stock Control

• Investigate raw material and finished goods stock variances and take corrective action.
• Assess the stock control procedures to ensure proper internal controls.

Information and Data Management

• Ensure team members accurately and regularly capture data into the information system to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.
• Share relevant data with management teams to enable reliable business decision making.

Monthly and Annual Financial Reporting/Review

• Analyse cost centre cost variance reports.
• Assist Agriculture managers to optimise efficiencies.
• Review daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports ensuring accurate and timeous information.
• Measure, analyse and explain KPI fluctuations and variances.
• Report on strategic commercial scenarios.
• Prepare stock movements summaries.
• Review cycle costing and feedback to the Agriculture team.
• Review preliminary GL reports to ensure accurate cost allocation.

Functional Strategy into Action Contribution

• Work in conjunction with the Commercial and Agricultural Executive to co-create the regional strategy, based on a 1 to 2 year view of requirements.
• Communicate operational capacity required over both the medium term and longer term plan, required asset utilisation and capex requirements for Agriculture processes accordingly.
• Work closely with the cross functional teams to ensure the delivery of an integrated supply chain benefit.
• Compile annual functional Strategy into Action (SIA) plan and ensure that the agreed SIA is implemented through team targets that are aligned cross functionally within area of responsibility.

Staff Management

• Lead and develop staff within the context of the Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Skills Development Act.
• Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback.
• Manage staff activities, ensuring service levels are met and protocols are adhered to.
• Coach and support staff where necessary to achieve objectives.
• Manage staff leave and general time management issues in line with organisational deliverables and standards.
• Manage and deliver on succession plans to enable the development of a future generation of leaders and specialists and ensure optimal turnover and retention levels are maintained.
• Champion staff training and development through the utilisation of available training opportunities or contributing to the development of new training solutions in collaboration with national training specialists.
• Conduct regular performance appraisals with subordinates.
• Establish sound staff and labour organising and communication structures and systems.
• Lead the team towards meeting the strategy and targets through regular communication and utilisation of the full organisational talent management tool set.
• Drive employment equity within the team to ensure that diversity is achieved at all levels and that statutory targets and requirements are met.

Introduction

RCL FOODS is currently on the lookout for a Business Analyst (SAP BW) to join the Vector Logistics Team. The role will be based in Westville and report into the Applications Manager.

The purpose of the Business Analyst is to:

Provide key support to the business and extract maximum value from the information technology platform, specifically its SAP system.

Provide first (1st) line SAP BW support and assist the business to implement new projects and system enhancements.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant IT/Business educational qualification (Bsc, Bcom Degree/ Diploma).
• At least 3 years’ experience in SAP BW or similar Business Intelligence tool will be advantageous
• Two years business analysis experience
• Experience in an FMCG environment. Excellent understanding of sales and logistics execution processes
• Excellent end user knowledge in the following SAP modules (BW,) Excellent Super user knowledge on SAP BW Module
• Advanced end user computer skills (MS Office, Project, Visio)
• Excellent business process and system analysis skills;
