    Front End Loader Operator OC

    Job Description:

    You will be operating a front-end loader in order to clear areas of rock broken during drilling and blasting operations for purposes of hauling the broken rock or cleaning up the loading area.

     Your responsibilities will also include:

    • Identify any unexpected problems that could require higher level technical support to and advise supervisor

    • Ensure that front end loader is maintained according to set standards

    • Report to Dispatch and/or Pit Foreman when task complete

    • Accompany Pit Foreman when inspecting completed task

    • The operator is expected to use the front-end loader effectively and safely to ensure high productivity as well as to appreciate the machine’s maintenance and optimum working parameters

    This role is at a Band B5 level reporting to the Shift Supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric with Maths and Science

    • Passed basic maintenance modules for F/E Loader

     Experience

    • One year experience operating F/E Loader

    • One year experience operating the D9 or 824 Dozer

     Knowledge and Skills

    • Must be familiar with risk assessment procedures

    • Be prepared to do standby duties and work overtime

    • Good Communication skills

    Additional information:

    If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test and Psychometric Assessment

    Administrator Finance

    Job Description:

    The Administrator Finance is responsible to provide support by effectively managing administration and through capturing data timeously and accurately.

    • Place, distribute and maintain voucher inventory levels as required by the sites.

    • Sourcing departmental consumables and facilitating acquisition of items and services by managing orders from end-to-end.

    • Facilitate in processing non-order payments. This included medical red-ticket refunds, intercompany and third-party payments.

    • Processing assets up to settlement point.

    • Account for internal red-ticket Income and third party revenue.

    • Journalise intercompany charges received.

    • Reallocate transactions in own accounting records.

    • Responsible to perform clearing on accounts.

    • Assist by processing the Value added tax entries.

    • Responsible for reconciliations not performed by Group.

    • Maintain a centralised document management system and provide audit assistance.

    • Provide assistance in processing company cell phone request.

    • Place, distribute and manage employee queries regarding uniforms.

    Qualifications:

    Diploma or Degree in accounting or finance 

    Knowledge & Skills

    • 2 years working experience in finance 

    • proven track record in performing reconciliation within finance 

    • Ms Excel knowledge is essential

    Exploration Geologist - Database Management

    Job Description:

    As an Exploration Geologist – Database Management, you will provide Support Services as required and your responsibilities will include:  

    • Capturing of primary borehole data generated by Exploration Geologists as well as Geotechnical Engineers on a frequency as required by the various disciplines in a manner which ensures the use of borehole geological logging and assay data in solids modelling and where applicable grade estimation as well as geotechnical logging and physical property test-work for geotechnical design input and analysis.

    • QA/QC validation of the borehole assay data as received from the relevant laboratories informing the Exploration Geology borehole databases according to the relevant Kumba Iron Ore QA/QC Pass fail criteria.

    • Validate all components of the Exploration Geology relational borehole databases as per the generic and site-specific Kumba Iron Ore borehole database validation protocol items.

    • Ensure the validation scripts are in place and kept up to date and are aligned with protocol requirements.

    •  Keeping abreast of development and version enhancements made by external borehole database Vendor.

    • ·Assist Kumba Iron Corporate Office Borehole Database Manager with development of production and exploration geology as well as geotechnical borehole databases to cater for business improvements etc. for example geometallurgical requirements.

    • Assist Specialist Resource Geology to ensure that the borehole database software licensing configuration at the site as at an optimum so as not to incur unnecessary expenditure.  To be reviewed at least annually.

    • Assist the various database users with permissions and access rights and ensure the database lookup lists are current. Control security permissions and remove old users from the lists.

    • Assist in borehole database training of users were

    • All spatial and related attribute graphical information data is captured in a GIS Database to assist the Specialist Exploration with exploration strategy and planning and tenure management.

    Qualifications:

    You will need the following Qualification:   

    • B.Sc. Degree in Geology with programming certification with relevant borehole database management experience.

    • Full SACNASP membership

    • Valid Driver’s License

    Experience: 

    •  At least 3 years’ experience in Production and/or Exploration and/or Resource Geology data management.

    •  Programming skills will be beneficial.

    Specialist Safety Project Manager

    Job Description:

    In this position you will support the Principal PMO in managing the Elimination of Fatalities programme and support Group Safety with its integration, reporting, business planning and budgeting.

    As such, in this role you will:

    • Provide project management support for Elimination of Fatalities (EoF) project leads, ensuring the delivery of the work programmes outlined in the respective task assignments.

    • Ensure dependencies between EoF workstreams under the accountability of Group Safety, and across the broader programme are realised.

    • Support the delivery of the Elimination of Fatalities workstream closure and sustaining processes across all workstreams.

    • Implement and maintain project management processes, tools and systems that enable the consistent delivery of quality initiatives.

    • Support Group Safety’s integration into the broader Technical discipline through reporting, business planning, budgeting, and project management.

    • Engage with key stakeholders for the projects you are supporting, coordinating and managing resources and supporting our goal of ensuring everyone working for Anglo American goes home safely every day.

    Qualifications:

    • An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as life sciences, environmental management, Technical, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Communications, or related discipline

    • Be an accomplished practitioner in the project management realm

    • Proven track record and practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity in a relevant discipline

    • Track record of leading ideas generation; translating these into practical initiatives to be implemented and demonstrating successful execution and delivery within Safety improvement projects

    • Demonstrated success in project management, particularly managing change and stakeholder engagement in multi-national and multi-functional teams

    • Demonstrated success on business/process improvement projects

    • Acts as a consistent role model in relation to safety practices with a deep understanding of the importance of safety
