Formal Qualification

• National Diploma (structural /mechanical)
• Accredited draughting college / academy certification

Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in structural and civil draughting with at least 5 years dedicated to REVIT modelling of commercial and industrial structures
• Experience in steel structures / concrete
• Experience in structural steel shop detailing (an added advantage)
• Experience in multi-disciplinary BIM systems (an added advantage)
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design teams
• Experience in working with clients

Responsibilities

• Drafting of reinforced concrete and structural steel for commercial and industrial buildings
• Multi-disciplinary services co-ordination in 3D environment
• Implementation of all relevant codes of practice
• Ensure that all work complies with AURECON's quality control procedures
• Ensure that required drawing standards are maintained
• Deliver excellent client service

Computer Competency Requirements

• MS Office Suite
• MS Projects
• Revit
• Autocad
• Prokon
• Steelwork detailing packages, for e.g. Tekla, etc. (an added advantage)

Job description

The role of the Graduate Process Engineer is to support the Lead Process Engineer on any specific project and to provide assistance to the Proposals Manager for all process engineering related projects which Aurecon will be tendering on.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development of the following deliverables for the specific projects s/he will be assigned to: Process Design Criteria; Mechanical Equipment list incl. load lists for electrical MCC and substation designs; mechanical equipment data sheets; Process Flow Diagrams; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; Sequence Interlocking Diagrams; Process Description; Control Philosophy; Functional Specifications
• Do technical and commercial adjudications for the mechanical equipment packages on the initial phases of a project
• Provide input to the proposals manager for projects Aurecon will be tendering on which have a process engineering component

Requirements

• BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering
• Experience in distillation skills and proficiency in multiple simulation environments preferred
• Ideally experience in market studies in oil and gas fields in Africa
