    Dangerous Goods/AVSEC Instructor

    Description

    • Conduct Ground training for Dangerous Goods (DG), Aviation Security (AVSEC) and Weight and Balance (W&B);
    • Prepare training rooms and ensure that training material is readily available;
    • Facilitate training sessions in classroom and virtual formats in line with the training manual and updated training material; 
    • Monitor, support and provide trainees with individual feedback to assist their developmental journey; 
    • Complete and distribute training documents and records in line with regulations and procedures; 
    • Develop high standards of training material in line with company policies, procedures, industry regulations, governing bodies and best practice methodology;
    • Assist seniors in addressing learning challenges, instruction problems, and new educational needs;
    • Identify opportunities for improvement to training delivery and trainee experience; 
    • Identify training needs in line with organisational requirements;
    • Stay up to date with relevant regulations, notices, directives, SOPs and policies; 
    • Conduct on-the-job training for employees;
    • Support seniors with audit preparations. 

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
    • Successful completion of Train the Trainer, Assessor, Moderator and Coaching and Mentoring certifications (Essential);
    • Current SACAA instructor certification in relevant field (SMS, AVSEC, Cabin Crew, DG, W&B) (Advantageous);
    • Diploma/ Degree in education/ training or related qualification (Desirable);
    • 2 years of flying experience with demonstrated proficiency in the relevant field (DG/ AVSEC/SMS/W&B) (Essential);
    • Willing to travel.

    Crew Controller

    Description

    • Oversee the daily allocation of crew resources in order to meet the requirements of the daily flight schedule;
    • Responsible for the short-term maintenance of the published roster concerning crew resources, by always ensuring strict adherence to all crew scheduling rules and regulations;
    • Daily oversight of the crew roster, encompassing the operations management system and any necessary reorganization due to schedule changes, including training responsibilities;
    • Adjust accommodation and crew positioning, along with arranging car hire and hotel bookings as and when required;
    • Support the OCC in the event of irregular operations, in accordance with the internal work instruction, CATS, CARS and Operations Manual;
    • Ensure all daily checks as per the work instruction;
    • Ensure that all crew duties are attended to before concluding work for the night;
    • Monitor the crew sign on process for flight duties. Assist with ad hoc duties that may be required by the company from time to time;
    • Any product support as and when required;
    • Responsible for any tasks as set out in SFR338-Work Instruction Crew Control;
    • Monitor crew sign-on times and communicate proactively with crew to ensure all flights operate with no or minimal delays related to duty sign-on;
    • Maintain professional, courteous, and efficient communication with crew, regarding roster, when required;
    • Liaise with Operations Control Centre, Crew Scheduling & Planning, Crew Management and Travel. 

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
    • Minimum of 3 years’ aviation experience (Essential);
    • Previous rostering or training planning experience (Essential);
    • Experience working with AIMS or similar roster management systems (Advantageous);
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays. This includes early morning sign-on’s or late evening sign-offs.

    Maintenance Planner

    Description

    • Compile work packs for the FlySafair (planning for the next check due, informing stores of NDT required, components needed for checks) Ensure work orders are compiled on time and provided to MRO;
    • Capture work order data from MRO;
    • Create work orders for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and aircrafts in storage;
    • Follow-up on all open work orders;
    • Review completed work orders and ensure accuracy;
    • Close work orders from outstations;
    • Close work orders from MRO when maintenance is complete;
    • Perform component movement from MRO work orders;
    • Notify other departments of findings in work orders and findings highlighted by QA/QC;
    • Assist with capturing and filing ATLR's when required;
    • Arrange aircraft and component extensions per approved AMP;
    • Update maintenance schedules on systems;
    • Assist with loading of new components on the MRO system;
    • Ensure that all components installed on allocated aircrafts are correctly controlled and contain links to the last release where required;
    • Update logbooks of aircraft and major modules;
    • Update the maintenance system with ADS and SBS. Ensure that all ADS, SBS, Eos and ASBs are adhered to timeously;
    • Provide information to other departments when requested;
    • Issue Certificate of Release (CRS) to service and Certificate Related to Maintenance of an Aircraft (CRMA) documents after maintenance is completed;
    • Attend survey meetings for scheduled checks;
    • Attend post-mortem meetings and advise of any improvements that can be made;
    • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and guidelines;
    • Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures;
    • Liaise with the Maintenance Planning Specialist regarding scheduling and required downtime needed.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential);
    • Technical Diploma (Advantageous);
    • Technical trade in aviation (Advantageous);
    • Certificate in maintenance planning (Advantageous);
    • 5 years' experience in aircraft maintenance planning (Essential);
    • Experience working with a technical maintenance system (Advantageous);
    • Willing to travel (domestic and international) Willing to work overtime.
