    Survey Manager REF:IVP-MTS-2025

    Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12
    • Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency.
    • Degree / NHD in Mine Survey
    • Audit
    • Reporting

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: 

    • 5 Years experience as a Survey Manager / Chief Surveyor

    Your successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Provide guidance to the mining department in terms of direction and grade lines as per mine design.
    • Establish a fit for purpose survey network underground and on surface.
    • Ensure resurveys and gyro surveys are carried out on an ongoing basis to ensure the integrity of the UG survey network.
    • Create and maintain 1:200 operational working plans showing survey and grade pegs, designs, geological features, and any other hazards that may affect mining.
    • Assist the planning department with updating of working plans used for planning purposes. (G Sheets)
    • Create, maintain, and improve a monthly production measurement system covering all KPI’s as required by Ivanplats management. Planned versus actual.
    • Establish and maintain historical production KPI data.
    • Produce and keep a fully auditable records of KPI achievements used for the payment of incentives.
    • Monthly measurement of any contract work done and the keeping of fully auditable records of work done for payment.
    • Issue fully payment certificate to accompany contractor’s invoice.
    • Establish an ore flow tracking process to accurately determine the tonnage of ore / rock hoisted to surface and delivered to the plant or waste storage facilities.
    • Establish a metal accounting process to accurate report the amount of metal contained in the ore delivered to the plant.
    • Establish a comparison report detailing ore and metal delivered to the plant as per survey measurements and tonnage and metal accounted for in the metallurgical plant.
    • Create a quality mining report for development and long hole stopping quantifying tonnage and metal content of over break, under break, planned and mined and backfill mined.
    • Ensure that the survey department has sufficient resources in terms of manpower and suitable survey equipment to meet operational requirements.
    • Draw up, administer, and control the survey departmental budget to maintain the required resources and consumables to support operational requirements.
    • Establish a survey draughting department on site to update DMRE prescribed plans and all plans and other documents required for operational. Also to assist in the keeping of historical records and ensuring auditability.

    Metal Accountant REF:IVP-PLNT-01

    Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • A BSc/B.Tech/B.Eng. Degree in Extraction Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering or NQF7 is essential.
    • Grade 12 /NQF Level 4 is essential.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
    • Valid South African Driving License.
    • Based in Mokopane or willing to relocate

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: 

    • Min 3+ years post qualification with proven PGM production plant experience as a metallurgist/ or junior metallurgist/ or metal accountant.
    • Knowledge of metal accounting principles, practices and implementation (highly advantageous).
    • Extensive knowledge and experience of mass and metal balancing, metal control for PGM and base metals (highly advantageous).
    • Experience in process control, process information databases and metallurgical optimisation systems (advantageous).
    • Proficient in metal accounting software, MS Excel and PowerPoint.

    Your successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Manage the administration of metal accounting and sampling systems.
    • Ensure timeous and accurate reporting of Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly, consolidated production and Metal Accounting reports.
    • Perform reconciliations of mine gate to settlement point assay, moisture and weight.
    • Manage metals settlement process with offtakers and external laboratories.
    • Liaise and negotiate with offtakers on monthly settlement data and processes.
    • Manage stock level control for ore sources, concentrate and consumables inventory.
    • Routinely reconcile and report on the site water and energy balances.
    • Ensure metal accounting systems and files are accurate and up to date for audits.
    • Maintain the site process "data room", to ensure all critical process information and reporting is stored logically and securely.
    • Co-ordinate the completion of loss tracking systems to ensure high integrity of production loss and asset performance reporting.
    • Develop and maintain custom dashboard reports from company databases that drive process optimisation and identification of opportunities for improvement.
    • Oversee the Requests for Information (RFI) and Technical Query (TQ) process.
    • Maintain high standards of metal accounting as per AMIRA and ISO codes.
    • Ensure compliance to legal met-accounting requirements.
    • Adhere to SHE and OHS principles.
    • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Apply the Ivanplats principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for your safety and others to ensure zero harm and the elimination of fatalities and loss-time Injuries in accordance with the Ivanplats Standards and Mine Health and Safety Act.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Manage the water treatment plant (check the water quality in the plant).
    • Manage process monitoring equipment, calibrations and certifications.
    • Validate data from smart sensors to ensure continuous uptime and functionality.
    • Oversee the sampling and evaluation department.
    • Perform quality assurance audits on reported assays, sample cutters, sample preparation; correct deviations and implement sustainable actions.
    • Provide support to the technical and operational teams as and when required.
    • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
    • Work closely with developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
