    Quality Supervisor - (1267)

    Profile Requirements:

    • Certified Inspector of Pressure Equipment (IPE)
    • Certified API Inspector
    • Certified radiographic interpreter
    • International Welding Specialist (IWS)
    • International Welding Inspector (IWIP-S)

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in the pulp & paper, petroleum, water, sugar, energy, mining or related industries.
    • 5 years minimum experience in multi discipline maintenance quality environment
    • Knowledge and experience in general quality management principles and terminologies:
    • PQP (Project Quality Plan).
    • QCP (Quality Control Plan) / ITP (Inspection and Test Plans).
    • Quality management procedures.
    • Quality management templates.
    • Commissioning and hand-over data packs.
    • Knowledge and experience in piping, tanks, pressure vessels and structural design codes.
    • Developing and maintaining of quality assurance systems tmeet required specifications.
    • Must have a good understanding of the ASME pressure vessel and piping design codes.
    • Must have a very good understanding of SANS 347 and 310.
    • Ability tlead meetings.
    • Ability tmanage multi-disciplinary quality teams and resource loading.
    • Proven understanding of how tincorporate technical standards and legal requirements within quality control plans.
    • Good understanding of quality control and assurance best practices and standards.
    • Understanding of applicable technical standards and legislative requirements.
    • Good technical knowledge of fabrication and installation of general plant equipment: Structures.
    • Pumps & Motors.
    • Valves.
    • Pressure vessels and tanks.
    • Piping.
    • Electrical and instrumentation installations.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Set the standard for quality requirements for maintenance,
    • Establish and maintain ISCertification for manufacturing and repairs of pressure equipment.
    • Be responsible for the quality management strategy and execution.
    • Manage quality risks and non-compliances.
    • Support a team of QC inspectors from a management and technical perspective.
    • Support the business with OHAS Act compliance.
    • Be the expert on the technical aspects of welding and associated repairs tpressure equipment
    • Develop and provide training tinternal and external resources,
    • Perform internal and external audits against set standards,
    • Develop a database of effective quality control plans,
    • Analyse non-conformance trends and implement effective corrective and preventative actions,
    • Continuously improve the quality management system based on lessons learnt.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment

    Instruments Supervisor - Power & Recovery - (1266)

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERTISE:

    • Trade Certificate in Instrumentation
    • Minimum N4

    JOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Engineering field or trade within the instrumentation or automation fields in a junior specialist, operations or function specific role with specific reference to the related supervisory competencies within a pulp and paper environment.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREA:

    • Supervise all aspects of the team’s health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
    • Ensure cost effective team operations by allocating resources, prioritizing work and maximizing plant availability.
    • Foster and maintain customer and supplier relations.
    • Implement team KPI’s that are aligned to the departmental plan.
    • Technical Instrumentation team support in automation and instrumentation maintenance in power & recovery.
    • Allocate team resources to areas where required to ensure optimum availability and efficiency of equipment.
    • Deliver weekly and monthly instrumentation maintenance team reports.
    • Effective team supervision of the instrumentation maintenance team.
