    Diesel Mechanic

    • As a Diesel Mechanic, your key responsibility will be the overall maintenance and repairs of earthmoving equipment. The successful candidate should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of basic mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Conducting repair and service work both on site and in the workshop
    • Machine assessments and complete job cards
    • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
    • Tie workflow to schedule
    • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
    • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
    • Produce timely and detailed service reports
    • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
    • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
    • Co-operate with technical team and share information across the organisation

    Minimum requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
    • English literacy essential
    • Post matric qualification / N3
    • Must be a qualified earthmoving equipment mechanic or diesel mechanic (trade tested)
    • 5 years’ experience after qualification – with traceable references
    • Auto electrical will be advantageous
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Proven field service experience
    • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
    • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedule

    Pit Supervisor

    • As a Pit Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing pit operations ensuring safe and efficient extraction of minerals and meeting production targets

    Key responsibilities:

    • Overseeing daily Pit operations for enhanced efficiency and productivity
    • Implementing, reinforcing and ensuring compliance to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment
    • Collaborating with various departments to coordinate activities and resolve operational challenges
    • Implementing best practices to improve overall pit performance
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments

    Minimum requirements:

    Debtors Clerk

    • Your responsibility as a Debtors Clerk is to manage the full accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Daily

    • Maintain and process customer invoices, customer deposits, and payment allocations
    • Managed efficient cash flow reporting, posted cash receipts, and analyze charge backs, independently addressing, and resolving issues
    • Submitting monies received and cash flow report daily
    • Sending customer statements weekly/monthly, and POD’s and invoices as requested by customers
    • Process monthly payments to customer accounts allocated to invoices and document account updates for the customer account statement
    • Process correct discounts, if applicable, to relevant customers once payment is received for orders
    • Process pallet credits that are aligned with the pallet process and report distributed by plant
    • Process customer returns/damages upon request and ensuring all supporting documentation is received and notifying manager to bill relevant transporter if applicable
    • Manage weekly reconciliations schedules for group customer accounts and resolving any issues/errors raised via portal/customer
    • Liaising with Sales, logistics and customer care department to ensure all necessary support is provided

    Monthly

    • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to verify payments and resolve variances
    • Manage monthly overdue independent customer tracker and ensure detailed feedback aligned to SOP
    • Manage monthly debtors ageing for group customers and ensure detailed feedback aligned to SOP
    • Performed targeted collections on past due accounts aged over 60+ days
    • Perform targeted resolutions on all residual values on customer age
    • Assisting management with cash flow projections by maintaining monthly payment advice from customers prior to payment date
    • Ensuring customer ledgers are up to date and allocated aligning with remittance advice or customer balance confirmation
    • Contact clients with past dues accounts to formulate payment plans and discuss restructuring options
    • Provide comprehensive customer support and managing customer queries both telephonically and electronically
    • Assisting with claim documents to the insurer by collating invoices, POD’s, correspondence and other documents
    • Support operations by communicating with all relevant stakeholders and customers, filing documents, and managing data

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Relevant degree in Finance
    • 2 to 4 years’ experience as a Debtors Clerk / Accounts Receivable
    • Proficiency in Sage 200 Evolution Explorer / Sage Evolution
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Effective written and verbal communication

    Bench Supervisor

    • The Bench Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of mining operations on specific benches or levels within the mine. This role ensures that mining operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with production goals. The Bench Supervisor leads and manages a team of miners and operators, ensuring that tasks such as drilling, blasting, excavation, and material handling are performed in a safe, effective, and productive manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Supervision and Team Leadership, Safety Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Supervise and coordinate the work of miners, drillers, operators, and labourers on specific benches within the mining area
    • Allocate and assign daily tasks based on production targets, ensuring efficient resource utilization and manpower distribution
    • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they are properly trained and have the necessary tools and resources to perform their tasks safely
    • Foster a positive, motivated work environment while ensuring that team members follow all safety protocols and company procedures
    • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies on the bench
    • Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment, work areas, and team activities to identify hazards and ensure safe working conditions
    • Ensure that all employees on the bench are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines
    • Investigate any safety incidents, accidents, or near-misses on the bench and take appropriate corrective actions. Report incidents to senior management and contribute to root cause analysis

    Operations and Production Oversight, Equipment and Resource Management:

    • Monitor the progress of mining operations on the designated bench to ensure production targets are met, adjusting workflows and processes as needed
    • Supervise the drilling, blasting, excavation, and hauling processes, ensuring that work is conducted according to the production schedule and quality requirements
    • Ensure the efficient use of mining equipment and resources, coordinating with the equipment operators and maintenance teams to address any issues promptly
    • Review daily production reports and update senior management on progress and any operational challenges
    • Ensure that mining equipment is operating efficiently and safely on the bench. Report any maintenance or equipment failures to the maintenance department
    • Coordinate with the maintenance team for scheduled or emergency repairs to avoid production downtime
    • Monitor and manage the inventory of tools and materials required for mining activities, ensuring that resources are available and replenished as needed

    Drilling and Blasting Coordination, Environmental and Regulatory Compliance:

    • Supervise the drilling and blasting activities on the bench, ensuring compliance with blasting procedures, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
    • Collaborate with the blasting team to ensure proper planning and execution of blasts, minimizing environmental impact and maintaining safety
    • Monitor the results of blasting activities to ensure that ore extraction meets quality and volume specifications
    • Ensure that mining operations on the bench comply with all environmental regulations, including dust control, water management, and waste disposal
    • Maintain accurate records of environmental and safety data, including monitoring reports, waste disposal logs, and compliance with government regulations
    • Coordinate with environmental teams to ensure proper implementation of mitigation measures for any environmental impacts related to mining operations

    Reporting and Documentation, Training and Development:

    • Maintain accurate records of daily production, safety inspections, equipment usage, and other operational data for the designated bench
    • Submit regular reports to the Mine Manager or Operations Manager detailing production progress, safety issues, equipment performance, and resource utilization
    • Document any incidents, accidents, or deviations from the planned operations, and assist in preparing corrective action plans
    • Provide on-the-job training to team members on operational procedures, safety practices, and equipment use
    • Identify skill gaps within the team and recommend or arrange further training to ensure staff are equipped to perform their tasks safely and effectively
    • Mentor and support junior miners and operators in their professional development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • A vocational or technical qualification in mining, geology, engineering, or a related field is preferred
    • Competent A certification
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in mining operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
    • Proficiency in using mining software or production tracking systems is an advantage
    • Ability to read and interpret mining plans, geological reports, and other technical documentation
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to operational changes quickly
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and feedback

    Shift Foreman

    • The Shift Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mining site during their designated shift. This role ensures that all activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulations. The Shift Foreman leads a team of miners, operators, and labourers, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, equipment is used correctly, and safety procedures are followed.

    Safety Compliance and Risk Management, Equipment and Resource Management:

    • Monitor employees for adherence to safety measures and intervene immediately if unsafe practices are observed

    Operational Reporting, Documentation, Training and Development:

    • Maintain accurate records of shift activities, including production outputs, incidents, equipment status, and personnel performance
    • Submit shift reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production rates, downtime, and safety issues
    • Document any operational challenges, safety concerns, or equipment failures and report them to the appropriate departments
    • Provide on-the-job training for new employees and ensure that all workers understand and follow safety protocols and operational procedures
    • Identify skill gaps within the team and recommend further training or development as needed
    • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement among team members

    Problem Solving, Decision Making and Quality Control:

    • Address operational challenges and resolve problems as they arise during the shift
    • Make quick, effective decisions regarding personnel, resources, and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to give clear instructions and provide feedback
