    Procurement officer - Food supplies - French-Portuguese speaker

    We are recruiting for our client who is a well-established & innovative company specialised in logistics, engineering &, industrial projects, procurement and shipchandling. Join a dynamic team in the import / export industry !

    • Fluent in French ? Basic Portuguese
    • Proven experience as a procurement officer or buyer ?
    • Previous successful experience in the import / export industry ?

    They are looking for their Procurement Officer – Food supplies based in Cape Town. Source & deliver all products worldwide will be the purpose of your mission.

    THE ROLE

    As Procurement officer – Food supplies, you will :

    • Receive and analyse enquiries received from clients (specification matching)
    • Strategic sourcing of suppliers & products (locally and internationally) via our database, market research, Internet, etc.
    • Get all the necessary information to be able to quote the client utilizing mark up and foreign exchang conversion utilizing our in-house software package
    • Establish competitive commercial propositions
    • Manage commercial follow up
    Where necessary assistance with the following operation activities:
    • Place and administer orders
    • Liaison with suppliers to insure smooth delivery process
    • Liaison with Logistics dept on export process
    • Inspections of products (compliance, quality, packaging, etc,.)
    • Establish Packing List, invoice
    • Be present at loading of goods

    YOU

    • French speaking, Portuguese is a plus
    • A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience working in a trading and/or export environment
    • Preferably knowledge of food industry in SA and/or internationally
    • Preferably a minimum of 2 years’ experience in export of food supplies (including fresh and frozen produce), catering consumables and catering equipment
    • Computer skills: MS Office (and specifically Excel)
    • Negotiating skills
    • Service excellence and precision (attention to detail)
    • Able to work independently and under enormous pressure
    • Reliable & Ethical
    • Dedicated
    • Driver’s license & Own roadworthy vehicle
    • Valid South African work visa is a requirement

    Our client who is a worldwide company specialised in logistics and international transport, key player for specialised logistics in Africa with more than 30 years of field experience.

    They are looking for their Regional IT Project Manager based in Cape Town.

    THE ROLE

    As Regional IT Project Manager, you will :

    • Assist & coordinate the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software applications in the region ;
    • Troubleshoot application related incidents logged by end users ;
    • Escalate level 2 & 3 incidents to Head Office based in Paris ;
    • Manage hardware maintenance ;
    • Assist the team with any IT request or instruction and communicate promptly when assistance is required ;
    • Be a link between IT Project Managers at various regions ;
    • Assist local users with IT problems
    • Be involved in the Quality, health, safety, environment initiative ; 
    • Travel to various regions to assist with IT projects when required ;
    • Report directly to the Managing Director
     

    YOU

    • 3 to 5 years experience ;
    • Fluent in French ;
    • Excellent project management & IT skills ;
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV & WinSpot is a plus ;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills ;
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional environment ;
    • Demonstrates effective communication and public speaking skills
    • Ability to travel in the Region ;
    • Flexible ;
    • Professional attitude ;
    • Previous experience in the import / export industry is a plus
