    Helpdesk Technician

    Job Description

    To support and maintain HFM through maintaining relationships, applying expertise to bridge the gaps between people and technology requirements and enriching the usability of the various applications. The incumbent will be required to interact with the finance community at RMB and coordinate with the FirstRand HFM team.

    The day to day activities will include:

    • Requirements gathering, analysis, interpretation, compilation of project deliverables, implementation
    • Assist users with ad-hoc queries and projects.
    • Complete monthly task, such as system maintenance.
    • Conduct UAT testing and sign off thereon.
    • Data loads to HFM via FDM.
    • Strong application support culture.
    • Ability to take the initiative in identifying potential risks to the business or identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
    • Able to understand implications of a solution and how it impacts on the organization as a whole.
    • Able to communicate information clearly to stakeholders.
    • Assisting with data investigations.

    Experience and qualifications:

    • IT Business Intelligence or related qualification
    • 2-5 years’ HFM experience.

    Oracle Developer

    Job Description

    The desired candidate will work as a member of an Oracle Development Team, providing Oracle EBS R12.1.3. functional analysis, configuration expertise, and problem resolution for user reported problems as well as functional configuration of the GL and FAH to meet business requirements. He/She will be required to work closely with users, technical solution developers, and other stakeholders to perform analysis, design and delivery of Oracle functional solutions for reported problems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver functional design solutions per agreed standards that address the business requirements within the agreed timeframe
    • Work closely with BA’s to prepare functional specification documents and delivered within the agreed timeframe as per the project plan
    • Ensure that unit testing is conducted successfully accordingly to the functional specification document, user requirements and test pack
    • Identify all defects during Unit Testing (Functional, System, Integration, Stress testing & UAT) and configure application build
    • Ensure accurate and clear functional requirements that are understood by the technical team
    • Optimised & quality code to ensure no system degradation
    • Follow the SDLC workflow & process to the letter and produce effective and detailed documentation accordingly
    • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new solutions
    • Assist users in UAT and resolve UAT issues and bugs
    • Prepare BR100 document (Setup Documents)
    • Train End Users on new solutions
    • Consult with internal clients on business requirements in order to provide support
    • Serve as 2nd line support to the Application Support team

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Tertiary education advantageous, preferably BComm (IS) or BSc (Computer Science) - not essential
    • Minimum 5 – 10 years’ experience within the IT industry and with working experience Oracle Applications Developer R12x

    Applicable Oracle courses

    • Extensive experience on eBusiness suite R12.1.3 or higher, with strong Functional knowledge on the following modules, Oracle FAH and GL, CDH, and OBIEE

    Oracle GL Certification advantageous

    • Experience in GL project implementations
    • Minimum knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL (30% Technical and 70% Functional)
    • Exposure to Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies will be an added advantage
    • Integration and Banking experience will be a plus.
