    Product Engineer MCS

    • This role includes a diverse set of disciplines from controlling power electronics to IoT communications.

    Design and Development

    • Design, build, and maintain high-quality software applications for controlling, monitoring, reporting on and supporting microgrids, taking ownership of the full development lifecycle—planning, coding, testing, and deployment.

    Day to day work

    • Participate in and strongly contribute to sprints for the current workstream
    • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
    • Debug and resolve software issues, optimize performance, and enhance scalability and security.
    • Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software reliability.
    • Work closely with cloud developers to integrate devices into cloud ecosystems

    Required:

    • 3–5 years’ demonstrable success in external sales within the sustainable technology sector—ideally managing both lighting and energy products or a closely related technology portfolio.
    • Proven track record in building relationships with B2B clients, managing complex sales cycles and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Lighting Solutions: knowledge of commercial/industrial lighting systems, energy efficiency standards and project bid processes.
    • Energy Solutions: understanding of solar PV systems, battery storage, inverters, UPS units or other energy technologies, plus ability to perform basic financial analyses (ROI, payback).
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently to non technical stakeholders.
    • Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence; comfortable travelling to client sites throughout the region.
    • A proactive, self managed, entrepreneurial mindset – this is a senior role with significant autonomy and responsibility for revenue growth.

    Refrigeration Technician - Newton Park - Qqeberha

    • We are hiring for a Semiskilled Refrigeration Technician who will be responsible for repairs and breakdowns in the Services Business Unit.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Refrigeration, mechanical and electrical aptitude.
    • Ability to work in factory environments.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Works under pressure.
    • Attention to detail is essential.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    • Complete required service reports and communicate to relevant persons.
    • Communicate field service activities with the Service Technician
    • Installation, service and repair of refrigeration air conditioning, and all associated tasks thereof.
    • Overall understanding Industrial Air conditioners
    • Good working knowledge of intercoolers and heat exchangers
    • Understand customer requirements and provide most cost-effective solution from Rubicon.
    • Coordinate and work well with Service Partners
    • Other duties as may be requested from time to time.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • In possession of a Refrigeration Qualification
    • Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in relevant field
    • Working knowledge of refrigeration products is required.
    • Experience using electrical meters and troubleshooting.
    • Previous field service experience preferred.
    • Possess a valid driver’s licence
