    Inventory Planner - P2

    The role

    • The purpose of this role is to control and optimise inventory and forecast future customer demand to ensure that Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions can meet sales and production targets while minimizing costs and inefficiencies.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Ensure the timely collection of forecast data from areas of responsibility.
    • Perform gap/trend analysis & recommend process improvements.
    • Ensure continuous communication and collaboration of forecasting and inventory management data with the regions and key stakeholders.
    • Provide feedback and make recommendations to regions to ensure orders are created according to the forecast.
    • Provide support to internal departments to improve inventory management.
    • Maintain inventory parameters in collaboration with Regional Inventory Manager for all designated stockrooms.
    • Perform replenishment planning for designated stockrooms.
    • Release orders according to system requisitions and customer orders.
    • Manage expediting requests from regions.
    • Perform detailed inventory analysis to identify opportunities and optimize inventory levels.
    • Work with all relevant stakeholders to establish both short- and long-term inventory strategies.
    • Provide back up support for all team members when required.
    • Responsible for stock, goods in transit, production stock and obsolescence reserve in the stockrooms of responsibility.
    • Responsible for the strategic stock in the stockrooms of responsibility.
    • Ensures coordination with relevant stakeholders regarding any improvement activities related with inventory control.
    • Responsible for analysis and to drive stock optimization initiatives (i.e.: returns process) on regular bases.
    • Participate and support regional/global initiatives or projects as needed.

    Your profile

    • Matric (Grade 12)/N3 Technical/equivalent (NQF Level 4)
    • Relevant Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6)
    • Previous mining industry experience (advantageous)
    • 3-4 years inventory experience in inventory management
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Root cause analysis
    • Ability to own and implement process changes
    • Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written)
    • Highly energetic individual with the ability to work in a team
    • Knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning processes
    • Experience with any forecasting tool
    • MS Office skills with advanced-level Excel
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
    • High attention to detail

    Payroll Administrator - S3

    The Role:

    • The purpose of a Payroll Administrator role is to ensure that all employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure employees are paid promptly and accurately.
    • End-to-end payroll administration ensuring compliance
    • Reconcile Payroll variance reports monthly, checking for high/low variances in all earnings, employee deductions and company contributions.
    • Time & attendance system integration to SAGE300
    • Reconcile/Process 3rd Party payments.
    • Process and reconcile all monthly cost journals for submission to Finance
    • Extract monthly and annual reports required for all internal/external audits, as well as assisting payroll team in all audits.
    • Assist with payroll queries and resolve timeously.
    • Tax Year end and IPR5 submission processes.

    Profile required: 

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant Diploma /Degree
    • 5 years relevant payroll experience
    • SAGE People300 experience is essential
    • Experience in Workday HR System
    • SARS Easyfile/Efiling knowledge is essential
    • Knowledge of Qlink payment portal
    • Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • English proficiency with strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Site Accountant - P1

    The Role:

    • The Site Accountant supports the financial health and compliance of the Site operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, cost control, asset management, and adherence to local regulatory requirements. The Site Accountant serves as a business partner to the operational teams, supporting decision-making through financial insight and analysis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings in line with Group timelines.
    • Prepare and submit site-level financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
    • Ensure all transactions are recorded in compliance with IFRS and Sandvik financial policies.
    • Monitor site operating costs and drive cost-saving initiatives.
    • Perform detailed cost analysis and highlight areas of concern.
    • Provide accurate cost allocation to departments and projects.
    • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
    • Provide financial input to operational and strategic plans.
    • Track actuals against budget and investigate variances.
    • Ensure fixed assets and inventory are accurately recorded and regularly reconciled.
    • Participate in physical inventory counts and asset verification exercises.
    • Monitor stock levels and work with Supply Chain and Operations to optimize working capital.
    • Act as a financial advisor to site and operational leadership teams.
    • Provide ad hoc financial modelling, reporting, and business case support.
    • Liaise with external service providers, auditors, and regulatory bodies as needed.

    Profile required: 

    • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
    • CIMA/ ACMA is advantageous
    • Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience
    • Strong understanding of IFRS regulations
    • Experience working in a Matrix organization

    Quality Assurer - P2

    The Role

    • The Quality Assurer will inspect, audit and ensure compliance to ISO 9001 standard.  This will include machine inspections, component inspections and audits and to ensure quality product delivered to all customers.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Conduct internal and external ISO 9001 audits.
    • Compile and submit an audit schedule for internal departments and suppliers.
    • Compile and submit audit action plans, and ensure close out of internal and external audit actions.
    • Conduct welding inspections and machine arrival / component arrival inspections and assessments.
    • Complete in-progress inspection reports per machine and components.
    • Test machines and components as required and submit final quality test documents and PDI sheets.
    • Submit QIT’s as and when required regarding the quality of products, services and parts and investigate and report findings.
    • Attend quality meetings.
    • Update measuring and testing equipment register and monthly inspection checklists.
    • Maintain overhead crane inspection register,
    • Monthly reporting.    
    • Comply with safety regulations and internal standards and procedures.

    Your Profile:

    • Grade 12 / Equivalent qualification
    • Qualification in Quality 
    • Trade Certificate (Electrical or Mechanical)
    • Internal 9001 Auditor
    • 5 years relevant experience in the Mining environment

    Experience in:

    • Underground or surface mining environment
    • Maintenance of earthmoving equipment
    • Trackless equipment major components
    • Engineering workshop(s)
    • English proficiency
    • Computer literacy
    • A valid drivers’ license
    • Certificate of fitness to work in underground mining environment
