    Treasury Controller

    As a Treasury Controller you will be responsible for:

    Money Market

    • Prepare the actual daily cash position and money market reports.
    • Capture and settle money market deals in SAP.
    • Process local payments for joint ventures and interest on banking systems.
    • Maintain and update intercompany interest rate schedules.
    • Maintain and update daily deposit/loan schedules.

    Foreign Payments

    • Prepare and execute payment runs for foreign transactions.
    • Capture inward payments and global transfers.
    • Record BOP (Balance of Payments) invoices in SAP.
    • Initiate deals with Group Treasury and local banks.
    • Prepare dealing sheets for transactions completed with Group Treasury.
    • Capture and settle foreign exchange (FX) deals in SAP.
    • Follow up and resolve bank-related queries.
    • Update the Reserve Bank File accordingly.

     Export Proceeds

    • Prepare weekly sales exposure reports.
    • Allocate and account for export proceeds.
    • Prepare journals for export proceeds and import settlements.
    • Generate UCR (Unique Consignment Reference) numbers for banking purposes.

     Month-End

    • Assist with the preparation and review of treasury month-end reports.
    • Confirm outstanding deals with banks and mills.
    • Confirm interest on overnight borrowings and deposits with banks.
    • Prepare journals to reallocate bank charges.
    • Process and review reports related to Ngodwana Energy.

    Ad hoc duties

    • Assist Shared Services with reconciliations and treasury-related queries.
    • Perform filing and archiving of treasury documents.
    • Complete and distribute daily Economic Indicators.
    • Respond to treasury-related queries from banks and mills.
    • Support the Treasurer and Treasury Manager as and when needed.

    What are we looking for?

    • Relevant tertiary advanced diploma/degree in Finance and Accounting or Treasury.
    • A minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in a finance role.
    • General knowledge of the SAP system.
    • Prior experience in banking or a similar role with exposure to money market, foreign exchange, and exchange control rules would be advantageous.

    Process Manager - Paper

    As a Process Manager, you will be responsible for : 

    • Continually seek opportunities for the enhancement of productivity and quality by applying Lean Manufacturing Principles.
    • Manages the plant operations to ensure the optimum utilisation of all resources.
    • Manages the shut process for effective execution.
    • Reviewing, initiating and implementing BOP standards and procedures.
    • Drive and mobilise the shift team and MDT to achieve OEE targets.
    • Investigating and preventing CSR's.
    • Ensuring the correct items are in stock to mitigate production risks.
    • Set goals and appraises immediate subordinates.
    • Ensures competency of all subordinates through adequate training, assessments and coaching.
    • Coordinate and engage the MDT - prioritise work amongst all disciplines.
    • Manage risks & ensure alignment between disciplines & ensure investigations are completed timeously.
    • Ensure that reoccurrences of incidents are prevented & conduct RCA's & incidental work.
    • Effective communication to all shifts i.e. strategy formulation, team goals, training plans & day-to-day interventions.
    • Implement changes as and when required
    • Holding people accountable through engagement and implement disciplinary action where necessary.
    • Forecasts and prepares annual capital, fixed and variable cost budgets, controls these and reports monthly on status thereof.
    • Overtime management and reporting thereof.
    • Ensures that the section complies in all respects with the relevant statutory requirements (OHS Act, Environmental Regulations) by implementing the necessary control measures and rectifying non-conformances.
    • Ensures plant’s conformance to the OHSAct 18000, ISO 9002 and ISO 14000 systems
    • Communicates with the internal / external suppliers / customers
    • Responds to customer feedback and takes corrective action when required.
    • Understand & comply with all SHEQ requirements of the job.
    • Carries out BBS Observations
    • Identify and take corrective action in terms of SHEQ conditions and hazards.
    • Maintains a high level of good housekeeping in the workplace at all times.
    • Drive sustainability targets i.e. (fibre loss/energy usage and water usage)

    What are we looking for? 

    • BSc Degree or BTech or equivalent
    • Computer Literate (Complete MS Office Package)
    • SAP would be advantageous
    • 5 - 8 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • 2 years at supervisory level
    • 3 years’ experience in a paper mill production environment would be advantageous.

    Engineer: Boilers

    As an Engineer: Boilers, you will be responsible for:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain standards to increase boiler plant and equipment reliability and safe operation
    • Complete failure analysis of plant and equipment  as per plant standard, identify probable root cause and ensure close-out
    • Inspect the internal condition of the boiler during shut down in relation to the AIA to obtain a COC after any modification and repair
    • Manage boiler inspection reports and repair data books
    • Assist the Maintenance Manager with long-term maintenance planning, budgeting, capex, maintenance, and project work execution
    • Provide weekly feedback to the Maintenance Manager on boiler performance, unresolved engineering problems, monthly projects report, investigations undertaken, and the status 
    • Support ISO9000 (Quality Management system), ISO14001 (Environmental Management standards), ISO50001 (Energy Management System), and OHSAS18000 (Health and Safety Management System) for engineering in the section. Educate the team on the requirements and monitor adherence to standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions
    • Participate in the development of safe work procedures for the section, perform critical task analysis, guide and monitor the team on correct isolation and lockout procedures when performing maintenance work

    What are we looking for?

    • 5 years of Boiler and turbine experience
    • Experience within the pulp and paper industry would be considered advantageous
    • NQF level 7 Engineering Qualification (BSc / BEng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering)
    • GCC (Factories) or permission to write will be considered advantageous
    • Management Development Programme (MDP) or relevant management qualification will be considered advantageous

    Outside Operator CRF 2

    As an Outside Operator CRF 2 you will be responsible for:

    Plant Operations

    • Perform shift handovers and complete pre-start-up equipment inspections in line with standard operating procedures.
    • Operate and audit Recovery Plant equipment and processes, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
    • Execute equipment isolations and manage machine shutdowns/startups according to procedural requirements.

    Problem Reporting & Communication

    • Report abnormal conditions (e.g. breakdowns, power failures) and production delays to the Process Controller.
    • Maintain continuous communication with the Process Controller and technical teams on equipment defects or issues.

    Shutdown Management

    • Maintain and update the shut list for outside plant equipment; log mechanical and electrical defects accurately.

    SHEQ Compliance

    • Create a safe working environment by identifying risks, performing gas tests, and reporting incidents immediately.
    • Conduct regular plant walkabouts, complete PJOs, and ensure adherence to BBS, 5S, and legal safety standards.

    Resource Utilization

    • Act as relief Process Controller when required, and coach new employees within the area of responsibility.

    Housekeeping & Task Execution

    • Lead and participate in housekeeping initiatives, ensuring cleanliness and order in the designated plant area.
    • Perform assigned tasks as per shift task list and supervisor instructions, maintaining operational standards.

    Administration

    • Capture accurate operational data and deviations to support plant efficiency tracking and compliance reporting.

    What are we looking for?

    • Matric with Maths and Science, or N3 Pulp and Paper.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a production environment
