Purpose of the job

• To provide LAN and System support on IT Infrastructure, planning and design, including the implementation and maintenance of the network systems (LANs, LAN internetworking, and connections with the LAN environment).
• The incumbent will be responsible for the specialist identification and resolution of hardware and software problems and malfunctions on the LAN environment.

Key Responsibility Areas

• To ensure incidents are effectively handled within SLAs.
• To provide LAN and desktop support to the client
• To perform daily administrative tasks and provide feedback to Consultant: LAN Support and clients
• To Provide applicable training and mentorship to LAN & desktop resources
• To assist with new projects and execute on contracted Project deliverables
• To provide technical advisory service to SITA customers

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 3-Year National Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Experience: 3 - 5 Years working experience in the respective field. 3 years’ experience in the provision of ICT solutions and services.

Technical Competencies Description

• Various Operating Systems Knowledge of Project Management Principles Knowledge of public sector business
• Knowledge of ITC Products and services Knowledge of industry best practices, eg ITIL, CoBIT The incumbent will be required to consult and interact with relevant Government Officials, standards generating bodies, accreditation and certification bodies.

Purpose of the job

• To lead the design, implementation, debugging, documentation, release and maintenance of software-based solutions, write code and enhance software/systems in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Lead the design and development of new features for the software systems, and improvement of the existing ones;
• Implementation, debugging, documentation and release of the software solutions;
• Provide maintenance and enhancement support of the existing systems;
• Perform software systems coding assignments; and
• Supervision of the Software development team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 3 years National Higher Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) or related field.
• Experience: 6 - 7 years’ experience with full software development lifecycle (SLDC), including solution development, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation.
• The experience must include Experience in solution analysis, and development for the development, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of systems within the corporate/public sector, including: Successfully developed and implemented applications Software development team leadership competency Software development deliverable efford planning, estimations and execution management Developed efficient and effective IT solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
• Extensive experience with a wide variety of database management systems and maintenance. Extensive experience with a wide variety of programming languages and technologies.
• Extensive experience with working on multiple tasks and report status. Experience in interacting with customers. One (1) year visible work experience of Micro services architecture and Angular.

Purpose of the job

• To research, design, install, test and maintain and enhance software systems write and coding of individual programmes in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Develop/ Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency using SITAs software development stack/ development framework
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
• Produce detailed specifications and writing the programme codes
• Maintain the integrated IT software components systems once they are up and running; and Develop integrated technical service specifications for single or multiple software components to clearly set direction for procuring or building software components.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 3 years Diploma / Degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) or related field.
• Experience: 3 - 5 years’ experience with full software development lifecycle (SLDC), within systems development, implementation and maintenance / enhancements of solutions in the corporate sector organisation.

SharePoint experience should include:

• Installation and configuration of SharePoint. Design, development, administration, support and maintenance of SharePoint sites, Teams, OneDrive for Business. Plan, design and implement SharePoint security including, but not limited to, authentication, security roles, user groups, audiences, and item level security.
• Troubleshooting of functional and technical incidents occurring within SharePoint. SharePoint PowerShell scripting and C#.
• SharePoint Online, 365 environment and PowerBI.
• Maintaining technical documentation that supports the SharePoint systems.

Purpose of the job

• Assistance and supervision of technical support services for the SAPS High Sites and SAPS Switching Centre facilities infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime.
• Ensure the general efficiencies of all electrical systems including but not limited to: UPS, electrical switchgear, cooling, fire protection systems, access control and emergency power generators.
• The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be involved in the space allocation and power requirements for Switching Centre facilities infrastructure and all sites where there is such implementation.
• Assist with the administration of invoice submission, change control, site visits for due diligence, verification of installations, verification of repairs at various sites for various Installations as listed above.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Assist with mitigating site downtime due to electrical plant failure
• Assist and Supervise SAPS High Sites and SAPS Switching Centre, etc. Infrastructure Upgrades
• Assist with effective contract management to manage a range of service providers' Eminent services to SITA

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Qualification: 3-Year National Diploma/Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or any relevant equivalent Engineering qualification @NQF level 6. ECSA registration as a candidate technician will give an added Advantage.
• Certifications: All the below certifications will be considered as an added advantage: CDFOM (Certified Data Centre
• Facilities Operations Manager). Course in JBCC. Government Certificate of Competency, as defined in the
• Occupational Health and Safety Act. Project Management.
• Experience: 3 - 5 years’ industry related electrical power engineering experience which should include: Maintenance and operation of electrical plant in the area of complex ICT facilities or Critical mission facilities (such as Banks, Data Centres, Telecommunications network sites, or hospitals).
• Experience with (building) power system analysis and engineering.
• Experience with IT Infrastructure operations including detailed comprehension of high availability systems.
• Experience with project coordination, product evaluation, vendor or customer management.

Purpose of the job

• To manage and ensure the certification of ICT goods and services against the set MIOS and ISS standards as mandated by the SITA Act.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Manage and Oversee the Evaluation and analysis of vendor, partner, developer and integrator development practices to determine violations in security best business practices and identification of potential non-compliance.
• Manage and oversee the analysis of previous or potential hardware, software components for accreditation control conflicts in order to determine risks to network if not appropriately addressed
• Manage and oversee the analysis of system concept of operations, operational environment and previous accreditation and certification documentation to determine if Information Assurance controls requesting to be approved for compliance could create a significant risk to the network/system
• Manage and oversee the analysis of data capturing requirements for the system and determine if system information require additional protection measures as outlined by standard setting bodies
• Manage and oversee the evaluation and analysis of all system components to determine compliance with associated Information Assurance controls, threats, vulnerabilities, and risks
• Manage and oversee the evaluation and analysis of all system components to determine compliance with associated SITA security, technical Implementation guides or other applicable agency security technical guides
• Manage, maintain and safeguard assets and equipment, includes the maintenance of assets register.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 3-year National Diploma / Degree in ICT - at least NQF level 6 or a verified / certified alternative equivalent @ NQF Level 6.
• Certifications: ISO27000, COBIT, TOGAF, ISACA certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience: 8-10 years working experience in the ICT goods or solution/system certification against set ICT standards with management responsibilities in a corporate/public sector organisation, including 2 years’ experience as a Technical Manager or Lead Specialist in ICT goods and /or software Certification in a corporate/public sector organization and /or as a manager of an ICT laboratory.
