Responsibilities:
- Maintain the upkeep of the school building, gardens, and grounds.
- Report facilities maintenance issues to school leadership and assist with repairs where applicable.
- Ensure that the school premises are safe for students, staff and parents.
- Assist with welcoming students during daily arrivals and dismissals, as required by school leadership.
- Manage tools and equipment, reporting any damaged or lost items to school leadership for fixing or replacement.
- Assist with ad-hoc operational tasks, such as moving furniture, working with maintenance and gardening suppliers, or setting up for events.

- Plan for, teach and co-teach face to face and distance lessons for and deliver academic and clubs lessons.
- Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop rigorous, engaging learning experiences and to create and implement high quality individualised behaviour and learning plans for scholars.

- Develop and administer formative and termly assessments to track student progress and analyse the data for student growth for all scholars to meet the required proficiency ratings.

Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
- Assist lead teachers in classroom routines, preparation, small group supervisions and ensuring that the learning environment is conducive to learning.
- Assist the lead teacher with lesson planning, creating teaching aids, and providing support during instructional activities.
- Observe lessons and participate in basic instructional outcomes.
- Support assessments and grade small tasks or homework.
- Participate in place-based education and implement SPARK Schools curriculum enrichment activities.
Collaboration & Planning
- Assist with marking and data tracking of subjects' assessments and exams.
- Support scholars during Personalised Learning time or in learning centres
- Participate in professional development, mentorship, check-ins and feedback sessions and ongoing instructional coaching.
- Facilitate Coding and Robotics Lessons
Scholar Progress Monitoring
- Track scholar's academic performance and ensure Personalised Learning Plans are on track under the supervision of the lead teacher.

Scholar Supervision and Monitoring
- Supervise lunch and break during the instructional day
- School patrols
- Bathroom supervision
- Ensure SPARK’s healthy food scheme is enforced with students by checking lunches
Character Development & Culture Building
- Engage with CQ (Character Quotient) sessions and uphold CQ standards.
- Uphold and promote SPARK’s behaviour management strategies and cultural values.
- Promote an inclusive school environment that drive diversity, equity and inclusion
Professionalism & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and stakeholders.
- Maintain professionalism at all SPARK Schools events and engagements.

Compliance & Safety

Responsibilities:
- Create a positive student culture around online learning and small group tutoring and maintain high behavioural expectations for all students.
- Actively “coach” students on all computer programs and ensure that the educational software used in the lab effectively meets the needs of students.
- Create and submit lesson plans for tutoring sessions.
- Tutor small groups of students on literacy and maths skills.
- Create and submit bi-weekly reports on ST Maths.
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators to create individualized learning plans for students.
- Use SPARK culture and behaviour management strategies.
- Incorporate SPARK SEL (SocialEmotional Learning) curriculum with scholars.
- Ensure all Learning Lab resources are used and stored responsibly and .
- Report all damages to hardware to the School Operations Manager and fill out relevant incident reports if needed.
- Have an updated asset list of all hardware in Learning lab received by the School Operations Manager.
- Participate actively in staff development opportunities as a member of the SPARK Schools team.
- Set into a classroom to cover, should there be an operational need.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- English language fluency.
- Clear criminal record.
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Studying part-time towards a B.Ed. or PGCE in the Foundation Phase, in their 3rd or 4th year with a view to becoming a qualified teacher.
- Provisional SACE registration
Experience:
- Previous experience managing or working with primary school-aged children.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology.
