    Boys Junior Phase Teacher

    Duties (not an exhaustive list):

    • Teaching Grade 0 – 2 dependent on experience including all regular classroom expectations and duties
    • Mentor, support, and develop intern teachers
    • Participate in extracurricular activities as required
    • Promotion of the St Peter's Prep Schools attributes and values
    • Teach according to the St Peter's Prep Schools Best Practice Pedagogy

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications and Experience:

    • Relevant Foundation Phase Degree
    • At least 5 years full-time experience teaching in Foundation Phase  
    • SACE Registration
    • Grade 0 experience would be an advantage

    • A willingness to work as part of a team and team teach, if required
    • An energetic and inspirational approach to boys’ learning and motivation
    • A progressive understanding of current educational trends

    • A willingness to support and mentor an intern in the classroom
    • The flexibility, ability, and willingness to work outside school hours, when necessary
    • A commitment to ongoing personal development and a future-orientated approach

    St Peters Pre-Prep Teacher (Early Childhood Development Teacher)

    Duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Creative planning and setting up of play-based learning discovery centres both in the classroom and outdoors that develop concrete learning experiences.
    • Deep understanding of Inquiry-Based Learning.
    • Mentoring, supporting, and team teaching with a Teaching Assistant.
    • Facilitating learning within the preschool environment that caters for a diverse range of learning needs and styles.
    • Establishing and maintaining a teaching environment that is both safe and nurturing. 

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Appropriate professional qualification (minimum NQF Level 5).
    • SACE Registration.
    • 3 years’ experience in ECD education (Grade 000 – Grade R).

    Candidates should have the following attributes:

    • A warm and nurturing disposition with an unwavering devotion to teaching preschool children.
    • Must have excellent written,  verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Computer literacy and proficient IT skills imperative.
    • Prepared to work according to the school’s ethos, specifications, and policies.
    • In-depth knowledge of best practice classroom activities and teaching methods for this age group.
    • The flexibility, ability, and willingness to work outside school hours, when necessary.
    • Must be a team player and work alongside colleagues collaboratively.
