    Data Capturer I - Mafikeng

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Generate study files and required study documentation
    • Record all paper forms received
    • Reviews paper forms for completeness, accuracy and consistency
    • Capturing the data accurately from paper forms into a project specific database according to Aurum specific guidelines
    • Verifies data from paper forms with data already captured on the electronic database
    • Supports the data management team in all data management functions
    • Adheres to all data management SOP’s, guidelines and confidentiality agreements
    • Completes daily time sheets
    • Implements a filing system for study-related case report forms and other documentation

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

       Education

    • Grade 12

      Advantageous

    • GCP training

      Experience

    • One-year experience in data capturing

    Socio-Behavioural Research Assistant - Rustenburg

    Socio-behavioural Research

    • Recruit potential participants for the study
    • Ensure that potential participants are provided with all the study details as described in the Participant Information Sheet.
    • Administer written informed consent
    • Recruit and schedule appointments for study participants
    • Conduct questionnaires, surveys and other quantitative data collections
    • Conduct IDIs, FGDs, KIIs and other qualitative data collections methods
    • Completion of data collection reports
    • Completion of synthesis notes, transcriptions, translations, quality checks and code book analysis.

    Research related activities

    • Data query resolution
    • Perform costing study interview
    • Observation of clinic-based staff and visits with participants (time and motion study)
    • Complete any other activities as required by the protocol or the study.
    • Complete, compile and submit study case report forms (CRFs) and source documents timeously
    • Ensure all records on participants are completed and accurately filed with strict adherence to documentation handling procedures
    • Maintain accurate study logs related to enrolment and other study activities.
    • Report on daily/weekly activities to the Study Coordinator and meet stipulated enrolment and follow-up targets
    • Participant retention

          You will also be required to retain participants by:

    • Obtaining, verifying and updating detailed locator data from participant for all visits.
    • If possible, reminding participants about their appointments just prior to each visit
    • Following-up on participants to ensure study completion
    • Recommending retention strategies to study management
    • General administration

    You will be required to:

    • Prepare participant files and documents.
    • Safe storage and transportation of complete study documents
    • Attend study meetings to report on study progress
    • Requirements
    • Degree or diploma in Social sciences experience or similar is needed
    • Microsoft Office

    Work Experience:

    • Research experience in socio-behavioural research is needed.
    • Must have experience in collecting qualitative and quantitative data (minimum 2 years)
    • Must have experience in data entry, qualitative data transcription and translation
    • Experience working with staff in public healthcare facilities  (advantage)
    • Experience working with key populations (advantage) 

    Minimum requirements:

    Qualification

    • Grade 12
    • Post-Matric Qualification in Social Sciences or similar.
    • GCP training (advantage)

    Other Requirements

    • Willingness to travel
    • Driver’s license and driving experience
