    Maintenance Manager

    Job Purpose

    • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies that support uninterrupted production, reduce operational costs, and ensure the plant's machinery and infrastructure operate at peak efficiency. Take accountability for managing operational projects within the maintenance space, ensuring Infrastructure maintenance initiatives are carried out successfully within agreed timeframes, cost and scope. Foster a proactive maintenance culture, the Maintenance Manager will minimize breakdowns, extend asset lifespan, and align maintenance activities with overall business objectives to achieve production targets and maintain product quality standards. They will also manage ad hoc maintenance requests, ensuring issues are addressed within agreed SLA's.

    Key Accountabilities and Outputs
    Maintenance Strategy and Planning

    • Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
    • Manage operational projects within the maintenance space ensuring Infrastructure maintenance initiatives are carried out successfully within agreed timeframes, cost and scope.

    Maintenance Management

    • Manage all maintenance and related activities to ensure optimal levels of plant and equipment availability
    • Ensure all equipment and safety standards are maintained
    • Manage ad hoc maintenance requests, ensuring issues are addressed within agreed SLA's
    • Effectively manage relationships with contractors and suppliers
    • Provide expert advice and help efficiently resolve maintenance queries
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, repair times, and maintenance costs; provide regular reports to senior management.
    • Provide accurate reporting that inform strategic decisions and demonstrate ROI on maintenance initiatives.

    Team Leadership and Development

    • Manage a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics, including recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
    • Build a skilled, motivated team with low turnover and high competency levels, evidenced by completed training programs and improved team productivity metrics.

    General Operational and Financial Management

    • Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes
    • Prepare and control the maintenance budget, including spare parts inventory, contractor services, and capital expenditure for equipment upgrades.
    • Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls
    • Control cost and take the necessary action to mitigate any financial risks or non-compliance
    • Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems
    • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures, implement lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen), and collaborate with production teams on process optimizations.
    • Reduce mean time between failures (MTBF) and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) scores through data-driven improvements.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma or Bachelors Degree (3-4 years) / NQF level 7 B-Science: Engineering (Essential)
    • A Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Factories in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering FMCG bottling experience with a min of 3-4 years leading maintenance teams (bottling preferred)
    • Lean manufacturing experience (preferred)

    DPR Controller (Boksburg Plant)

    Job Purpose

    • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports to be managed from a batch-to-batch process from Raw Materials handover to Production and Warehousing. Ensure accurate movement of all inputs into the different processes and validations through SAP reporting, while working closely Logistics, Productions, Finance, Engineering and Warehouse Team. Align reporting to financials captured, to provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting. Efficiency and Productivity inputs and outputs to be owned and represented as accurate with short interval controls implemented. Alignment with Financials and KPI’s progressed daily/weekly/monthly.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain safety with all aspects of the plant while being a custodian in our efforts as a safe
    • Engage key stakeholders to ensure that process/ operation while reporting accurate data into reporting, is produced timeously to enable decision making at the daily reviews
    • Ensure appropriate competencies are developed in departments through the department heads and that information provided is accurate and on time
    • Develop accurate Productivity reporting that is in line with the BevCo and Finance reporting rules for Raw Material Consumptions and Efficiency.
    • Produce daily Material Usage Variance and Efficiency reports for all inputs into production while ensuring that all departments have followed the business processes accurately
    • Update process flows of all materials as per WCM standards and training protocols for the shop floor
    • Ensure compliance procedures from all departments in terms of Efficiency and materials usage variances
    • Review reporting with Finance Daily and Weekly to ensure Materials and OEE is aligned to the weekly financial work plan estimate
    • Manage the system interface to ensure all departments are compliant and publish a daily and weekly non-compliance report highlighting the gaps to plant leadership
    • Work closely with production, finance and engineering to ensure all the transactions meet the standard work practices and aligns to the BevCo SOP
    • Develop and update Weekly Reporting in time for weekly plant routines.

    Key Deliverables

    • Accuracy in reports and providing of value to the teams to reduce Material Usage Variance Losses through Loss and Waste.
    • Determine, communicate and monitor financial impact of losses to be improved with short interval control with relevant departments.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Relevant Diploma
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in production, engineering or materials management
    • Experience with SAP PP and MM or similar operating systems would be advantageous
    • Excellent Excel skills
    • FMCG manufacturing beneficial

    Debriefing Clerk (Mega DC-Supply Chain)

    Job Purpose

    • To oversee the validation and processing of returned goods, maintain accurate records, coordinate with various departments, and contribute to continuous process improvement within the DC.

    Key Accountabilities

    Proof of Delivery (POD) - Truck Return to Debrief

    • Validate and reconcile successful deliveries in SAP, ensuring accuracy in load reconciliation and closure.
    • Physically inspect and verify Clean POD (Received in Full) against invoices and customer claims.
    • Verify claims between the log and Return Area physically.
    • Conduct Load Recon (by reason)/Closure in SAP, ensuring accurate documentation of claims and returns.

    Processing Returned Stock

    • Receipt returned stock into We Think system promptly and accurately.
    • Conduct physical inspection of returned items, differentiating between saleable and unsaleable goods.
    • Move saleable returns to designated bins efficiently.
    • Check case and pallet returns to validate stock to be booked back into Finished Goods, Damages or

    Quarantine

    Truck Return Validation

    • Offload stock to returns cage, conducting thorough verification against documentation.
    • Physically check all stock returns for quality and completeness.
    • Complete Returns Log (Register) accurately, detailing all validated returns.

    Upliftment

    • Process Uplift Requests received via email promptly and accurately, coordinating with relevant departments.
    • Verify uplifted items upon truck arrival at the DC.
    • Physically inspect returned items, ensuring compliance with uplift requests.
    • Move sellable returns to designated bins in We Think system.

    Administration

    • Scanning, filing and archiving of relevant documents.
    • Providing general administrative support where required.
    • Adherence to the Quality, Food Safety, Health, Safety and Environmental Standards
    • Adherence to Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Food, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
    • Enforcement: Enforce all food safety and health regulations, policies, and requirements at all times to guarantee a secure work environment.
    • Personal Hygiene: Maintain exceptional personal hygiene as per the organization’s code of conduct.
    • Contamination Control: Raise awareness about potential physical product contamination and implement control measures to prevent it.
    • Health and Safety Measures: Take reasonable precautions to prevent health and safety hazards.
    • Follow the prescribed incident reporting procedure in case of accidents.
