    Fire Fighter - East London

    Position Purpose

    • Provide protection of life, property and the environment by responding to fire and emergency situations, conduct fire prevention duties, up keeping and servicing of fire equipment.

    Position Outputs

    • Maintain Operational Readiness

    • Perform all specialized procedures in dealing with emergency other incidents

    • Qualifications & Experience:  Grade 12  Valid First Aid Level 3 or valid Basic Ambulance Assistants Fire Fighter 1 (SAQA/IFSAC) accredited.  Hazmat Awareness (SAQA/IFSAC) accredited.  Fire Fighter 2 (SAQA/IFSAC) accredited.  Hazmat Operational (SAQA/IFSAC) accredited.  Hazmat response technician (SAQA/IFSAC) Accreditation.  Higher Certificate in Fire Technology (NQF 5) Only Internal Applicants will be recognised with at least one of the following qualification * Higher Certificate in Fire Technology (SAESI) or * Intermediate Level Certificate (IFE) or * Fire Officer Certificate issued by old Transnet Training Centres or * National Certificate: Emergency Services Supervision - Fire and Rescue Operations SAQA 64390  Four (4) - Years minimum. experience in Hazmat Fire and Emergency Services environment  Be in possession of a valid driver license (minimum C1) with PrDP and be in a position to drive such a vehicle.  Mentally and Physically Fit.

    Trainee Yard Official

    Position Purpose

    • A Trainee Yard Official will be required to undergo modular training, conduct and successfully complete the required modules as to qualify and certified as a Yard Official.

    Position Purpose

    • To provide commercial leadership in the commodity team that is responsible for the development and implementation of commodity strategies and other initiatives in delivering the procurement savings target. Overall the Commodity Specialist is responsible for ensuring the continuity and security of supply of the right quality of commodities and services at competitive prices and at minimal contractual risk.     Qualifications and Experience

    • A relevant Bachelor’s degree (technical, financial or commercial) is required, or CIPS Level 4A post-graduate business or finance degree or similar would be an added advantageAt least 5 years supply management experience in a large organisation. ORRelevant qualification (NQF 5)6 yrs relevant and solid experience with at least 2 yrs at managerial level or specialist experience.
