    Group Executive: Digital Technology (Durban North)

    Description

    • Develop and lead the Group’s digital technology strategy, aligning technology deployment with business objectives to ensure competitive advantage.
    • Lead Aspen’s digital and innovation transformation program, fostering a culture of innovation within the technology teams. Identify opportunities for emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and blockchain to drive competitive advantage.
    • Collaborate with the senior management team and stakeholders to scan for emerging technologies that support business growth and innovation.
    • Formulate and execute a technology strategy, focusing on innovation, security, cost control, and system reliability.
    • Oversee the deployment and management of current and future technology systems, ensuring their scalability and agility to meet evolving business needs.
    • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place and manage risks and compliance
    • Build and lead a high-performing digital technology team by driving employee engagement, high performance and coaching.
    • Establish and maintain governance frameworks that ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards, including King IV and oversee the development of policies and standards for implementing and operating technology systems.

    • Ensure the continuous delivery of technology services by working closely with the shared service partners and associated vendors.
    • Stay ahead of the latest technology trends, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical industry innovations. Ensure Aspen remains at the forefront of digital technology advancements by integrating new tools and technologies into the business when appropriate.
    • Collaborate with other senior executives to ensure technology initiatives are integrated with broader business plans. Work closely with departments such as finance, operations, and marketing to optimize digital tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
    • Experience: At least 15 years in a relevant technology or business environment, with 10 years in executive leadership.
    • Certifications: TOGAF, GxP, ISO 9000, BPM, SDLC, ITIL, DevOps, Agile, COBIT (preferred).

    Inventory Processor (Port Elizabeth)

    Description
    Overview

    • Process inventory sales transactions and invoices for export and local customers

    Responsibilities:

    Forecast

    • Request customer forecasts, verify correctness, resolve queries with customers and upload validated forecasts onto ERP system.
    • Forecast requested, validated and uploaded monthly.

    Purchase orders

    • Upload purchase orders onto ERP system and create the  order number.
    • Receipt all finished goods from local and international suppliers, as well as all sub-contracting raw materials and packaging from local suppliers.

    Sales orders

    • Request method of transport from customer and inform Distribution Warehouse.
    • Perform ERP system transactions to process the sale.
    • Arrange quotes with transport companies and obtain financial approval.
    • Send Commercial invoices for payment.
    • Generating and releasing all sales orders for both local and international market.
    • Ensure that all commercial invoices for all customers are created and sent out.

    Documentation

    • Initiate and prepare weekly backorder/stock out summary report.
    • Arrange for relevant documents e.g. Invoices/COA’s/COC’s/permits

    Inventory management

    • Inventory management
    • Maintain database relating to any significant shortages or damages.
    • Obtain authorisation and execute inventory adjustments
    • Compile inventory reports and ensure timeous submission of reports.
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure correct warehouse allocations.

    • Lead the provision of advanced administrative, operational, customer support and computational tasks

    IT Service Support Specialist (Port Elizabeth)

    Description
    Overview

    • Tactical and Operational role in the digital technology organization and is accountable for the provisioning, control and improvement of Application and Business Services to meet customer business requirements
    • This Includes providing end user support, end user training, contributing to Knowledge Base, identifying and implementing Continuous Service Improvement opportunities, while adhering to agreed service level agreements.

    Responsibilities:

    Application Support

    • Provide Application Support to end users of IT systems used in Manufacturing and related departments.
    • Investigating and resolving issues
    • Providing guidance or training to users – including enhanced levels of support following new/updated software releases
    • Devising permanent or temporary corrections and workarounds for faults
    • Adhering to established safety, security and quality standards.
    • Capturing user feedback for subsequent analysis to inform future application development.

    • Handle incidents according to agreed procedures, investigate causes of incidents and seek resolution. Escalate unresolved incidents.
    • Facilitates recovery of processes, following resolution of incidents. Documents and closes resolved incidents, contributes to testing and improving incident management procedures.
    • Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services, determine problem fixes and remedies.
    • Collaborate with others to implement agreed remedies and preventative measures and support analysis of patterns and trends to improve problem management processes.
    • Assess, analyze, develop and implement changes based on requests for change including adequate version management and methods to report on the lifecycle of change requests.
    • Identify problems and issues and recommend corrective actions.
       

    IT Service

    • Contribute to provisioning of IT services to agreed service levels and documenting and logging all activities performed.
    •  Monitors and logs the actual service provided, compared to that required by service level agreements.
    •  Liaises with stakeholders to help them plan for a deterioration in service and/or breaches of service level agreements.
    •  Engages with stakeholders to confirm that products developed meet the service acceptance criteria and      are to the required standard.
    •  Provides input into change control processes.
    •  Identifies opportunities to improve service delivery / Continuous Service Improvement (CSI)

    Training

    • To provide guidance or training to users — including enhanced levels of support following
    • new/updated software releases – through structured curricula, transferring of knowledge, developing skills and changing behaviors using a range of techniques, resources and media
    • Contributes to delivery of aspects of user curricula e.g. end user training role-based content creation.

    Requirements

    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in the relevant business area e.g. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Production /
    • QA / Technical Support) or 1 – 2 years’ experience in providing application support and/or systems administration Working in a Pharmaceutical / GxP regulated environment.
    • Experience in system administration / IT support experience / Key User responsibility
    • Experience and sound knowledge of service incent and request management methodologies.
    • Experience in content authoring and user training and on-boarding will be an advantage.Specific job skills

    Contract Packaging Technologist (Port Elizabeth)

    Description
    Overview:

    • Lead routine packaging technology work, including creating and maintaining printed component artworks, specifications and packaging bill of materials

    Responsibilities:

    Specifications

    • Evaluate existing packaging requirements against equipment capabilities, environment materials and other packaging interactions
    • Draft primary and secondary packaging specifications
    • Conduct specification maintenance and provide quality control support

    Packaging Bill of Materials

    • Ensure Prelim Packaging Bill of Material Specifications are generated in compliance with all internal and external stakeholders
    • Set up and maintain Packaging Bill of Material

    Artwork Process 

    • Coordinate communication between Artwork Originators, Design Studios and Print Suppliers
