   Person Specification

• Minimum qualification of S4/T3 or N6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with more than 5 years Heavy Industry experience and at least 4 years of experience in a position responsible for people management. 
• The ideal candidate will hold a B Eng, B Tech,  in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Legal compliance certification in terms of the OHSACT .
• Training in Maintenance Principles and Practices.
• Management Development training will be an advantage.
• Computer literate.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet work deadlines with attention to detail.

• The incumbent will operate across multiple disciplines over a broad area involving a number of different technologies. 

The Engineer is responsible for the Electrical Maintenance in the Cold Products area and his/her functions includes: 

• Safety and legal compliance
• Maintenance management
• Root cause failure analysis
• Corrective actions and improvement management
• People management and development
• Good knowledge of Electrical regulations as per SANS
