    Shift Team Leader- Springs

    Purpose of the Position:

    • Leading a production team and overseeing the smooth operation of machines & equipment and attainment of the production plan.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Reducing unplanned downtime
    • Minimizing losses and write-offs
    • Improve OEE. (Overall Equipment Efficiency)
    • Limiting rework or non-conformance
    • Ensuring the relevant process control is applied to produce a product that complies with quality specifications.
    • Development and motivation of subordinates.
    • Managing administrative duties i.e., compiling OEE sheets, declare
    • Production Order variances, compile claims, etc.
    • Facilitate the Mini business operating principles, processes, and practices as per E2 (A lean manufacturing program)
    • Attending various meetings i.e., Level 2, Safety, Multilevel, Problem-solving, and Service levels Agreements

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • Qualified Mechanical / Electrical artisan (Trade certificate)
    • NQF 5 Manufacturing management certificate or equivalent tertiary qualification
    • Ability to develop a clear vision for subordinates and involve team members in creating a shared vision.
    • Create conditions that ensure followers are willing, able, and allowed to be productive, display initiative, and perform job-related activities
    • 2-3 years experience in a high-speed, high-tech packaging environment
    • Ability to effectively coach and develop subordinates.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
    • Sound conflict-handling skills
    • Ability to organize resources and effectively delegate tasks to subordinates.
    • Ability to facilitate performance management
    • Ability to develop and evaluate alternative courses of action and be aware of all criteria that to be satisfied to address a problem.
    • Can set controls over arrangements, follow up and evaluate task execution.
    • Ability to display confidence. Through perseverance and resilience, one can stay with a task and display the required energy to achieve objectives and outputs.
    • Knowledge of ISO and HACCP quality management systems
    • Computer literate in MS Office (Excel & Word) and SAP.
    • This is a shift position therefore must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime if and when required.

    Cellar Assistant X2 - Nederburg

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Transfer of wines
    • Receiving and dispatch of product
    • Active participation in E2 activities/duties
    • Drawing of samples
    • Wine adjustments
    • Blending activities
    • Stocktaking
    • Housekeeping
    • Other ad-hoc duties

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • Minimum Grade 12
    • Relevant working experience within a cellar environment
    • A forklift license will be an advantage
    • Be able to work on heights and confined spaces
    • Be able to work under pressure
    • Be able to work shifts
    • Must have reliable transport to and from work
    • Be able to work overtime and weekends

    Machine Operator (Cellar) - Nederburg

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • General cellar activities
    • Prepare, start and operate equipment and machinery in the cellar
    • Clean machinery and equipment
    • Ensure effective production safety and housekeeping
    • Cellar administration duties
    • Work shifts and at times extended hours as and/or when required
    • Active participation in E2 activities/duties

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • Minimum Grade 12 qualification
    • Relevant working experience within a cellar environment
    • Proven written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of safe working procedures

    Electrician - Gqeberha

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Performing maintenance and identifying maintenance requirements on electrical equipment, which entails:
    • Regular inspection of bottling equipment, electrical motors, pumps distribution boards etc.
    • Ensuring that preventative maintenance is executed according to schedule
    • Assisting with installation of new equipment
    • Ensuring that related administration is attended to timeously
    • Ensuring that operational services (electrical) are provided timeously and according to specification.
    • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
    • Performing ad-hoc duties within the department if and when required
    • Fault Finding in Motor control centres. (MCC)
    • Execution and upgrading of maintenance schedules
    • Implemented initiatives of business plan
    • Operating / shutting down and changing over machines and equipment to prescribed quality standards.
    • Participation in Mini-Business activities
    • Reading and understanding of electrical drawings (eCad)
    • Good knowledge of Electrical Reticulation in a Plant Environment
    • Repairs of production machinery as well as site related Electrical work eg; boilers, compressors, lighting, installations, etc.
    • Methodical fault finding and maintenance of electrical motors, control panels and distribution boards.
    • Excellent working knowledge of sensor control, HMI, switchgear, AC Motors, relay logic, industrial instrumentation.
    • Comply with Distell’s standard operating practices.
    • Basic understanding of PLC, servo motors, VSD
    • Excellent housekeeping 

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • Electrical Trade with N3 or equivalent Electrical qualification (NQF 4) 
    • 2 years’ experience in an FMCG environment
    • N4-N6 technical qualification will be advantageous
    • Electrical trade with N3 or equivalent Electrical qualification (NQF 4)
    • Working knowledge of wiring diagrams
    • Familiar with conveyor line control, PLC automation (preferably Siemens S7) and high speed machinery.
    • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
    • Must be willing and able to perform standby duties when required (call-outs after hours)
    • Must be willing and able to work extended hours (overtime) and or shifts when required.
    • Ability to copy with the inherent physical demands of the position.
    • Possess good communication skills on all levels.
    • Working experience with bottling machinery will be a distinct advantage
    • Have own reliable transport
    • Active involvement in mini-business activities
    • Able to work within a teams
