    Business Analyst

    What your first 0-6 months would look like:

    • Within the first month you will be formally onboarded to all Electrum’s nifty practices, such as easy time logging and transparent emailing, and be immersed in the regular contact sessions of the professional services team. From month 2 onwards, you will start picking up some smaller projects; 6 months in you will be immersed into a development team and will be working independently on customer projects.

    Requirements
    What you’ll need:

    • At least 2 years experience as a business analyst or similar role
    • A university degree
    • Strong analytical thinking
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Team player
    • Attention to detail
    • Self-managing

    A BA certification

    Full Stack Intermediate Software Developer

    A typical day on the job

    • Cruise to work (or perhaps wake up early for a hike with some coworkers)
    • Have some morning chats over some barista quality coffee
    • Check in with your team: help out by doing some coaching but also and get some mentorship
    • Meet with a customer to workshop their requirements
    • Write up some technical analysis to give to a junior developer to implement
    • Grab lunch and catch up with the rest of the company in the rec room
    • Squeeze in a game of table tennis
    • Write some amazing code
    • Grab another coffee
    • Test your code with a customers team

    Requirements

    • 3 years experience in software development
    • Anyone can write code. However it takes a bit of experience to write code that balances elegance, maintainability, efficiency and quality.

    Be strong with Java

    • Our backend systems are built on this. They are high performance systems that really require you to know what you’re doing in Java.

    Be strong with JavaScript and React

    • Our front-end tech is built on this. We need you to hit the road running and it might be embarrassing to show up on your first day and still need to be skilled up on it (but if you’re strong with similar frameworks, that’s also fine).

    A university degree

    • Any degree really. We need your proven analytical skillz here with the ability to work in high stakes (we’re working with other people’s money here!) and highly complex environments. The stuff we do has a material impact on the world and also therefore is high reward, but that also means it comes with high risk. You can’t always just learn it on the job. We need to know that you know what you’re doing.

    Project Administrator (Strategic Projects)

    Your responsibilities:

    • Schedule regular meetings and record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps)
    • Break projects into doable tasks and set timeframes and goals
    • Create and update workflows
    • Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders
    • Retrieve necessary information (e.g. user/client requirements and relevant case studies)
    • Track expenses and predict future costs
    • Monitor project progress and address potential issues
    • Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements
    • Measure and report on project performance
    • Act as the point of contact for all participants

    • Experience with flowcharts, technical documentation and schedules
    • Strong MS Office skills, with good Excel & Word skills essential
    • Knowledge of project management software (e.g. Trello or Microsoft Project)
    • Strong administration skills and an eye for detail
    • Highly organised and proactive personality
    • A demonstrated interest in technology
    • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
