    Site Manager SC Operations Winterveld

    Description

    FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

    •  Ensure operations at the site are executed in a safe and legally compliant manner
    • Oversee the distribution of products within the site to ensure high levels of customer service
    • Manage and lead the staff establishment at the site
    •  Oversee the fleet management at the site
    • Ensure all SOX and governance standards are adhered to
    • Oversee the management of all warehouses and stores within the boundaries of the site
    • Understanding the internal and external supply and demand dimensions across all explosives logistics and magazine management
    • Ensuring management of staff delivers customer satisfaction                                                                                                                                                                                              
    •  Compliance to Chapter 6&8 of the explosives act
    • Understanding of Outbound Value Chain strategy and arranging of compliance inspection
    • Understanding production output to ensure stock holding remains within regulated limits
    • Understanding business needs to meet demand and Liaising to comply to SOX requirements 
    • Arranging transportation permits / Magazine licenses / amend where necessary to stay in compliance
    • CIE Relationship Building and Understand SQAS requirements and compliance                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Must)    
    • National Diploma in logistics management (Must) 
    • Certification with CIE (Must)                                                                                                                                                                                                
    •  B-Tech / Bcom Logistics will be an advantage
    • At least 5 years’ experience within supply chain explosives environment
    • Proven experience in explosives value chain and Supply Chain Outbound

    Explosives Engineer

    Description
    Duties include but are not limited to: 

    • To act as a direct link with the customer.
    • Building and sustaining sound business relationships
    • Managing team performance
    • Continuously monitor and provide feedback to the relevant line manager on market intelligence (what’s trending on the market), which form the base of identifying key strategic issues facing customer portfolios.
    • Differentiate the company’s’ service and products by identifying and implementing value adding activities beneficial to all customers.
    • Set and implement Key Account Management Plans to ensure achievement of the market and sales objectives.
    • Establish long term relationships with key decision makers and influencers on individual mines.
    • Provide excellent service on all aspects of explosive and accessory products and their uses, including auditing of product application and performance underground and giving recommendations to correct deficiencies.
    • Complaints from customers to be handled swiftly and competently to their satisfaction.
    • Determine and prepare the product sales budget, and in conjunction with the KAM to decide the appropriate product mix to achieve maximum trading product, market share and other business parameters. Achievement to be measured by means of the balance scoreboard and market share.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Experience:

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 ( Must)
    • B SC / B Degree in Mining Engineering (Must )
    • Open cast and Underground Blasting Certificates (advantage)
    • Driver’s license (Must)

     EXPERIENCE:

    • 3-5 Years’ experience in mining open cast or underground environment

    Ops Chargehand

    Duties include; but are not limited to:

    • Assist mine personnel on on-the-job training (Technical support on DDS™ equipment & Charging-up)
    • Provide information regarding Health & Safety of Enaex Africa equipment to mine and Enaex Africa Base Chemicals employees.
    • Assist mine personnel on the job training (Technical support on DDS™ equipment & Charging-up)
    • Assist Service Technician in maintenance of DDS™ Equipment
    • Density checks and records
    • Day to day inspections and minor repairs on DDS™ equipment
    • Oversee mine trained employee to do daily checklist. Mine employee to hand checklist to his mine supervisor.
    • First responder to breakdowns (All minor issues on shift)
    • Reporting on levels of DDS™ emulsions and delivery dates for emulsion
    • Offloading of the DDS ™ delivery tanker & weighbridge notes sign
    • Reporting on spares used and stock level to Service Technician
    • Report of spillages to mine personnel to arrange for clean-up
    • Report status of good housekeeping around silos to mine
    • Communication with service Technician on status of DDS™ equipment.
    • Follow up on recommendations and implementation of proposals
    • Identify incorrect charging up practices
    • Conduct blast surveys according to the designed criteria
    • Demonstrate the charging up and connecting of all Enaex Africa explosives products
    • Apply the use of the product as per the product application training
    • Apply the safe handling, storage and transport of explosives
    • Ensure correct PPE is used, as well as that PPE is in good condition and correctly worn/used
    • Maintain housekeeping of work area
    • Identify workplace hazards and associated risks and deal with it appropriately (Hirac & Risk Assessment)
    • Knowledge of relevant hand tools
    • Knowledge of emergency procedures
    • Comply with the Mine’s safety and health procedures
    • Attend the mine’s induction training
    • Maintain basic safety, health and environmental issues
    • Assess the product application practices
    • Identify incorrect product application practices
    • Demonstrate and coach the correct practices
    • Adhere to Enaex Africa code of practice and procedures
    • Adhere to mine Health & Safety requirements
    • Work according to the hours of the mine set
    • Daily underground visit

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Experience:

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12  
    • Blasting Certificate and Competent B for underground (Advantage)
    • Basic Computer skills
    • Valid medical fitness certificate 

    Experience:

    • 2-3 years working experience in underground.

    Site Manager (Mining Explosives - OPC)

    Duties include; but are not limited to: 

    •         Provide leadership to the site team.
    •         Inspire and motivate personnel to work safely and productively.
    •         Production planning, ordering and management of site raw materials.
    •         Management of equipment and personnel.
    •         Provide technical advice on blasting agents, accessories and blast performance.
    •         Manage assets.
    •         Monitor fleet efficiencies and compile blast reports.
    •         Handling of labour issues.
    •         Investigate incidents.
    •         Manage daily silo stock control.
    •         Improves Blast tonnage.
    •         Training and development of personnel.
    •         Address customer operational requirements.
    •         Cost control.
    •         Management of IMS system.
    •         Legally appointed for site and magazine.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Experience:

    •        Grade 12 with Math’s and Science (Must)
    •        B SC / B TECH in Mining Engineering – Metalliferous or related (Must)
    •        Open Cast Blasting Ticket (Must)

     
    EXPERIENCE:

    •        Minimum 5 or more year’s opencast mining experience.
    •        3 -5 years supervisory / managerial experience
    •        Excellent computer skill (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel & SAP) (Must)
    •        Possession of a valid Drivers’ license (Must)
