    Solution Specialist, Milling

    About The Role

    • This role requires proactive engagement with our customers in Europe, Central Asia, and North Africa, driving the growth of our mill linings business and assisting in finding solutions, and ensuring comprehensive planning for our customers' upcoming shutdowns and maintenance activities.

    Your responsibilities

    • Plans and executes sales activities, including active client research, booking, and conducting client meetings, to meet established objectives.
    • Creates opportunities for sales of spare parts, services, and upgrade & rebuild solutions.
    • Implements strategies aligned with a determined price policy, considering market conditions, to ensure the achievement of set goals and targets
    • Develops and nurtures significant customer contacts to foster long-term, profitable relationships.
    • Supports our Capital sales teams by assisting in the development of the opportunity pipeline and being present onsite to enhance the chances of winning new business. 

    Your qualifications

    • A relevant technical background selling mill lining in the heavy industry, preferably mining. 
    • A strong commercial drive and understanding are required. 
    • 5 years of experience in heavy industries. 
    • Being great at communicating technical matters to non-technical customers
    • You have a highly international mindset and cultural understanding. 
    • A proven track record, working internationally within aftermarket sales is required. 
    • You speak and write English fluently, other languages like French, would be a strong advantage. 
    • You call yourself a true traveler as you are expected to travel around 100 days per year.

    Sales Enablement Technical Support South Africa

    Purpose of the role

    • To work closely with Clients to promote and assist the sales of Spares and Wears as well as Field Services, Regular equipment inspections and equipment audits done and feedback provided to the Client and FLS
    • Liaise with customers to meet their requirements and needs in respect of equipment reliability.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Provides service and customer support during field visits or dispatches of products
    • Manages all on site installation, commissioning, configuring, calibrating, repair, maintenance and test tasks, typically of a more complex nature
    • Diagnoses errors or technical problems and determines proper solutions
    • May determine when products should be upgraded or replaced
    • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities

    Solutions Specialist Crushing Consumables - Africa

    • As a Solutions Specialist for Crushing Consumables you will part of a high-motivated and impactful team. Your responsibility is to identify business opportunities, generate leads and foster client relationship to meet or exceed sales goals, support installation assistance as well as inspection and measurements on site, including wear reports. You have to ensure customer support, troubleshooting and participate in customer seminars and presentations. All this will come along with travelling within the specific region to drive the growth and offer technical expertise. This role aims to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve growth objectives. 
    • The Service Line Crushing Consumables is a specialized segment that not only supplies customized services and wear-resistant components, but also offers a comprehensive suite of solutions to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and overall productivity of crushing operations throughout the entire product lifecycle. .

    Your responsibilities

    • Manage the customers and their crushing assets with focus on the consumables throughout the product life cycle
    • Assessing customer needs and recommending most suitable products/solutions
    • Identify and develop new business in the region
    • Provides feedback into the business regarding customer needs and market intelligence
    • Maintain opportunities in the CRM system
    • Monitor industry for updates and changes in the product landscape
    • Be able to perform health checks and scans on customers sites, review data and present feedback
    • Work closely with product line, engineering and sales teams across FLS.
    • Support development of specific marketing documents to place solutions primary benefits
    • Self-driven and able to work with minimum supervision
    • Ability to support Proposal department on complex solutions

    What you bring

    • College degree or equivalent experience
    • Mechanical background, able to read and understand mechanical drawings
    • Minimum 5 years of experience within the mining/industrial industry.  Specific experience with heavy industrial products and/or systems is a plus
    • Good experience with Crushing consumable product, specifically crusher liners and other wear parts.
    • Deep product and competitors' knowledge to develop effective sales strategies and objection-handling techniques
    • Capable to communicate complex concepts to customers in simple terms.
    • Good communication skills, written and spoken, along with strong reporting and presentation abilities
    • Able to travel up to 75%, domestic and international travel.
    • Must be physically able to climb onto structures and stairs in industrial plants and mines

    Department

    • You will be part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region Team based at our facility at Chloorkop. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges.

    Requirements:    

    • Trade qualification as either; Fitter or Fitter and Turner
    • Must be registered with NAMB and the SETA as an Assessor and Moderator
    • Must have at least 3 years management experience with apprenticeships and learnerships in Heavy Engineering
    • Accreditation Experience with SETA and QCTO as well as their administration requirements
    • Experience with Health & Safety, Reading of drawings. Measuring Instruments, Hand Tools. Materials, Couplings, drives, Welding, lubrication, gearboxes, valves and bearings
    • Extensive hydraulic/ pneumatic knowledge. Intermediate Microsoft Office.
    • CNC experience (would be advantageous). 

    Key Role:

    • Develop and updating technical training material for apprenticeship program and specific product training. Conduct assessments and moderation on both apprentice training and Trade Testing. Develop practical and theory assessments. Align programmes with NAMB, MERSETA & QCTO requirements.
    • Manage, maintain and provide tooling, equipment and PPE. Setting training plans and schedules. Ensure all material and tooling requirements are available and manage the system. 
    • Revise theory and practical training material to SETA & QCTO requirements .
    • Understanding of the Apprentice environment
    • Facilitation of modules for apprentices and customer training
    • Assisting with SETA and institutional accreditation

    Purpose of the role

    • Responsible for supporting an Artisan Fitter with fitting activities.

    Your responsibilities
    Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Support an Artisan Fitter with fitting activities.
    • The ability to keep records.
    • The ability to understand and read detailed drawings and make the necessary calculations.

    What you bring

    • Grade 12.
    • N2 Engineering will be advantageous.
    • 2 years’ experience as a Fitter Assistant.
    • 2 years’ working in an Engineering Environment.
