    Technical Service Support Engineer - Southern Africa

    Purpose of the role

    • To work closely with Clients to promote and assist the sales of Spares and Wears as well as Field Services, Regular equipment inspections and equipment audits done and feedback provided to the Client and FLS
    • Liaise with customers to meet their requirements and needs in respect of equipment reliability.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Provides service and customer support during field visits or dispatches of products
    • Manages all on site installation, commissioning, configuring, calibrating, repair, maintenance and test tasks, typically of a more complex nature
    • Diagnoses errors or technical problems and determines proper solutions
    • May determine when products should be upgraded or replaced
    • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities

    Key Competencies

    • Applies specialist and detailed expertise to promote FLS Equipment, spares and wears
    • Develops job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
    • Knowledge of the interaction between technical and commercial issues and customer requirements.
    • Ability to select between major/minor technical issues.  Notify the relevant departments.
    • To understand market requirements and trends.
    • Knowledge of the basic principles and structures for minerals processing plants
    • Ability to study, understand and solve technical problems.
    • Ability to present and explain technical issues.
    • Read technical drawings and specifications
    • Understand the objective with effective reporting.
    • Ability to summarize complex issues into essentials issues.
    • Customer Service Experience.
    • Experience within a FS Department.

    Requirements :

    • Qualification - Trade or relevant technical qualification
    • Service & Sales experience of mineral processing equipment

    Product Specialist Milling - Africa

    Your responsibilities

    • Leads sales activities for the product line in collaboration with the territory sales team.
    • Work closely with product experts and customers to develop product solutions.
    • Identifies sales support needs for the sales area including training, sales materials etc.
    • Assists to define Services marketing strategy and support marketing and the implementation thereof
    • Provide technical support for the product line technologies
    • Map and maintain information on competitor activity
    • Engages key stakeholders in all activities
    • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities

    What you bring

    • An engineering degree
    • 10 years experience in the minerals processing industry with at least 5 years spent directly involved with milling technologies
    • Experience in mineral processing equipment operations, maintenance and repair
    • Ability to lead sales of product and solutions
    • Ability to work in diverse and global teams
    • Ability to identify components and define scopes for modernisation
    • Strong ability to influence customers and internal colleagues
    • Good communication skills, written and spoken
    • Ability to present at seminars, exhibitions and customer focused workshops.
    • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, domestic and international
