    Contracts Officer - Projects

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Preparing and maintaining all contractual documentation from inception to close out.
    • Managing the contractual spend against budget and preparing cost comparisons.
    • Month end progress reporting and ensuring processing of all monthly financial and other information.
    • Drafting and issuing of Expression of Interest (EOI) documentation and preparing detailed adjudication reports.
    • Corresponding / negotiating with suppliers and managing all administrative related activities.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • A Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (Purchasing/Commercial/Legal).
    • Driver’s license (Code EB/08).

    Minimum Experience

    • 2 years’ experience as a Contracts Officer or Buyer.
    • MS Office proficiency.
    • Legal or contract management experience will be advantageous.

    Engineering Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervising and managing maintenance, breakdowns and repairs on machines and equipment.
    • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
    • Ensuring that production targets are met safely and cost effectively.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Either a N4 Certificate with Engineering Subjects, Valid Trade Certificate (Fitter) and a minimum of 5 Years’ experience as an Artisan; OR
    • A relevant Tertiary Qualification and completed Graduate Development Programme.
    • Driver’s license Code EB (08).

    Superintendent (Production) Furnace

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  National Diploma in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering

    SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

    • At least 5 years relevant experience in a heavy industry, backed by 2 years in a middle management position
    • Excellent managerial skills and to be self-motivated
    • The ability to analyse data and to follow through with quick decision-making and implementation
    • Proficient English communication is essential
    • Good working knowledge and proven Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite)
    • Initiative and result driven
    • SAP and COUPA knowledge and experience
    • Ability to work under pressure

    JOB OBJECTIVES

    In this role you will be responsible to the Manager (Furnace)for the following:

    •  Safety management with respects to implementation and development of systems, statutory and procedural compliance as well ensuring the plant KPI’s is achieved.
    • Ensure compliance to FHP and MHMP and safety alerts and improvement.
    • Process Control
    • Raw materials and costs.
    • Plant database and plant reports as per schedule.
    • Plant metallurgy and recipe accuracy and models.
    • Furnaces loading system management.
    • Electrode management.
    • Gas system safety and efficiency
    • Assist in Overall management of all aspects of the operational side of 2x66MVA submerged arc furnace to achieve design production levels
    • Plant historian database and graphs.
    • Re-engineering, optimization and improvements. Scope of responsibilities include the ensuring of quality maintenance done on equipment in the loading system for A&B Furnaces.
    • Attend all relevant meetings.
    • Department Discipline
    • Weekly raw materials consumption meetings and KPI dashboard reporting
    • Root Cause Failure Analysis and problem solving
    • Obey and execute all reasonable instructions from superiors; Work overtime, standby on short notice as required by the operations; Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
