    Accountant (Works)

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Maintain robust financial controls to measure and monitor plant financial performance.
    • Prepare costing, monthly forecasts, budgets and variance analyses, present insights and recommended corrective actions to operational leadership.
    • Produce timely financial reports for site management and Finance Head Office; support month-end close.
    • Drive cost control initiatives to ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets.
    • Support departmental heads to embed cost awareness and implement efficiency measures.
    • Monitor variances and lead root-cause investigations.
    • Manage fixed assets records and capital project accounting; ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation (evaluate useful lives and residual values).
    • Support forecasting, approvals and post-implementation reviews.
    • Oversee consumables and spares inventory management and the buying function; liaise with Group Procurement on contract administration and supplier development.
    • Monitor stock levels to optimise working capital and prevent over-capitalisation.
    • Act as finance business partner to plant leadership; liaise with Finance Head Office, Shared Services and auditors on reporting and compliance.
    • Ensure financial activities comply with corporate policies, statutory requirements and HSECQ principles.
    • Support internal and external audits; maintain secure information records and documentation.
    • Manage the Time & Attendance and payroll office at plant level.
    • Maintain and improve finance systems used by the department; participate in system upgrades and testing.
    • Design, implement and monitor internal controls to prevent/detect fraud and errors.
    • Incorporate risk assessment results into reporting and recommend remediation actions.

    About you:

    • Relevant NQF6 or higher qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business
    • CA(SA)/CIMA or equivalent will be advantageous
    • Minimum 8 years’ post-qualification finance experience, preferably in mining or manufacturing, including at least 3 years in middle management role.
    • Strong knowledge of costing, financial reporting, capital accounting and fixed assets.
    • Experience with time-attendance and payroll processes at plant level
    • Experience in procurement, stores, accounts receivable and payable
    • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (FI/CO, MM), BPC and Hyperion.
    • Advanced MS Office literacy (pivot tables, lookups).
    • Understanding HSECQ principles and their application to finance department.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
    • High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
    • Formal leadership training will be advantageous (FLDP, MMP, SLP)

    Accountant (Cost) x2

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Manage cost and management accounting processes, including cost allocations, standard costing, variances and overhead recovery.
    • Execute monthly checks and reconciliations of financial records and lead the monthly cost closing process.
    • Prepare, analyse and present monthly cost reports and variance analysis to management.
    • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities and support departments in strategic and operational planning.
    • Oversee the plant-level accounts payable function, including vendor liaison and working with Shared Services Accounts Payable to resolve queries.

    About you:

    Superintendent (Maintenance) – Care & Maintenance

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Assume legal responsibility as the GMR 2.1 Appointee for Rustenburg Smelter in terms of statutory engineering and maintenance compliance
    • Lead and manage all engineering compliance, legal governance, SafeWork requirements and engineering standards across the Care & Maintenance site
    • Provide overall leadership and management of all site-related Care & Maintenance functions, including people, contractors, infrastructure, compliance and engineering governance
    • Drive implementation and adherence to Glencore standards, Fatal Hazard Protocols (FHPs), critical control requirements and SafeWork 2.0
    • Lead multidisciplinary engineering oversight across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil infrastructure
    • Manage asset preservation strategies to ensure plant, equipment and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, protected and restart-ready where applicable
    • Ensure effective asset protection, physical security and preservation of plant, equipment and infrastructure
    • Provide oversight and governance for all contractors, long-term business partners and service providers operating on site
    • Ensure all TMMs onsite comply with legal, engineering and operational minimum standards
    • Monitor and manage engineering risk exposure, plant integrity and maintenance compliance across the site
    • Manage all contractors onsite and ensure compliance to Glencore Contractor Management Standard
    • Lead planned maintenance activities, shutdown support, breakdown response and engineering assurance activities where required
    • Conduct compliance audits, inspections, investigations, risk assessments, root cause analysis and governance reviews, and drive closure of findings and corrective actions
    • Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets related to Care & Maintenance activities, including cost control and contractor performance

    About you:

    • National Diploma / BTech / BEng / BSc in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
    • GCC Factories is essential for appointment as GMR 2.1 Appointee
    • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in engineering and maintenance within heavy industry, mining, smelting or manufacturing environments
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in smelting or metallurgical operations
    • Proven experience in engineering compliance, statutory governance, legal accountability and Care & Maintenance environments
    • Strong understanding of Fatal Hazard Protocols, engineering critical controls, HSEC systems and asset preservation strategies
    • Experience in managing contractor compliance, long-term business partners and multidisciplinary engineering teams
    • Strong knowledge of statutory engineering requirements, legal governance and plant integrity management
    • Experience with SAP PM / SAP PAM
    • Strong project management, budgeting, audit and stakeholder management capability
    • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills
    • Experience at Rustenburg Smelter will be advantageous

    Supervisor (Plant) Shift FCR

    The incumbent will be responsible to the General Manager for:

    • To oversee Ferrochrome Production Management for the entire plant (production, engineering processes/implementation, support, services and logistics functions) in support of the achievement of production strategy, targets and volumes as well as legal compliance.
    • To oversee project development and implementation including the identification of projects opportunities in support of sustainable operations and continuous improvement.
    • To fulfil the Plant HSEC (Health, Safety, Environment, Community) representative role and ensure compliance to all HSEC policies, procedures and appointments in support of legal compliance, the prevention of injuries and business interruption
    • To lead and manage the plant operational management team in support of the optimisation of Human Resources/ delivery of the strategy.
