    Accountant (Cost) x2

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Manage cost and management accounting processes, including cost allocations, standard costing, variances and overhead recovery.
    • Execute monthly checks and reconciliations of financial records and lead the monthly cost closing process.
    • Prepare, analyse and present monthly cost reports and variance analysis to management.
    • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities and support departments in strategic and operational planning.
    • Oversee the plant-level accounts payable function, including vendor liaison and working with Shared Services Accounts Payable to resolve queries.
    • Supervise the time-and-attendance and payroll function at the plant.
    • Identify, review and implement improvements to controls and processes within the costing environment.
    • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

    About you:

    • Relevant NQF6 or higher qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/costing within mining or manufacturing.
    • Strong understanding and application of accounting principles.
    • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
    • Experience with time-attendance and payroll processes at plant level.
    • Proficient in SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, Hyperion and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
    • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.
    • Good administration, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Supervisory/people management experience.
    • Results-oriented, able to meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.
    • Prior experience in a smelter or heavy manufacturing environment.
    • Advanced Excel or reporting tool skills (Power BI, etc.)
