Senior Bookkeeper - Ballito/Hilton at Accountancy Placements

• Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team in Ballito or Hilton.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and manage monthly accounts
• Manage bank accounts, payment processing and payment loading
• Perform bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and month-end journals
• Manage payroll, VAT, PAYE and credit control
• Handle SARS submissions and payments
• Manage partner commissions
• Process staff expense claims and reimbursements
• Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting
• Prepare budgets and budget-versus-actual reports
• Compile management accounts and other financial reports
• Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation

Requirements

• Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting
• A minimum of 4 years’ bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Sage Pastel
• Ability to manage the full month-end close process independently
• Solid working knowledge of SARS submissions, VAT and payroll processes
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
• A proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development
• Experience working in a start-up, scale-up, or high-growth business will be advantageous
