    Flavourist

    About the role

    • The role supports flavour sales growth, flavour creation, flavour production and flavour library by working efficiently to support customer briefs while maintaining a vision of what will work best for customers.
    • Extend capabilities by collaborating with other flavourists to support initiatives and projects.
    • Develop flavours and interact with customers, other flavourists, sensory scientists, production, and suppliers to ensure that goals are met and that briefs are completed in a timely manner.
    • Have significant experience in his/her area of expertise and continue to share knowledge in flavour development.

    Key responsibilities

    • Responsible for flavour creation projects within the region
    • Independently lead projects, developing flavours in line with business      needs and in response to customer briefs
    • Proactively work with new ingredients
    • Understand Kerry technologies and utilize technology to deliver unique solutions to project brief
    • Deliver technical presentations and working sessions with customers
    • Interact with key customers regionally to understand requirements and build solid relationships
    • Mentoring and training the junior flavour creation team
    • Perform physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing and analysis of flavours
    • Have an extensive understanding of raw materials, finished products, production, regulatory, analytical and flavour application.
    • Have adequate understanding of GC/MS and other industry techniques applied for flavour analyses.
    • Work with analytical group on flavour matching projects
    • Employ thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory and labelling requirements for flavours
    • Work with cross functional teams to optimize the strengths of our company and deliver the best Taste and Nutrition experience for our customers
    • Participate in sensory panels

    Qualifications and skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or relevant industry experience
    • 5+ years of active flavour work on the bench
    • Good background in organic chemistry, food chemistry, flavour applications.
    • Good math skills for problem-solving calculations.
    • Strong trouble-shooting skills
    • Strong and discerning sense of smell and taste
    • Cross category flavour experience is preferred, but specialized knowledge in flavours for sweet and beverage applications is essential.
    • Demonstrates passion for flavour creations
    • Demonstrates strong ability for problem-solving and complaint resolution
    • Demonstrates strong ability to work with cross-functional teams at multi levels within the organization.
    • Demonstrates professionalism
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

    Millwright

    About the role

    • The Millwright reports to the Maintenance Manager and is part of a high-performance team, serving as an influential leader and technical resource to optimize plant maintenance, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of high-quality products. This role completes preventative and reactive repairs to equipment in the facilities and assists the operations team on day-to-day issues and opportunities related to maintenance, safety, quality, throughput, reliability, and cost.

    Key responsibilities

    • Work with operations to complete scheduled workday to day.
    • Perform preventative maintenance (PPMs) on mechanical equipment according to defined schedules and procedures. PPMs include lubrication, belt changes, measuring wear surfaces, re-torquing equipment, and disassembling equipment for inspections.
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose and provide effective repairs to all the components of mechanical equipment (primarily rotating equipment) including pumps, compressors, agitators, drive systems, conveyors, centrifuges, agitators, gearboxes, pacelines, solids handling equipment, etc.
    • Develop and utilize procedures to efficiently, effectively and safely diagnose and repair process equipment
    • Documents work by completing and turning in needed checklists and procedures. Updates appropriate systems such as SAP with work history information. Provides feedback to planners to continuously improve job plan quality.
    • Supports plant roles in procedure usage, creation, reviews, updates, and approvals.
    • Utilizes plant information systems to gather data for troubleshooting and streamline tasks for various roles.
    • Participates in root cause investigations (RCI) for unplanned events that meet standardized criteria.
    • Provide training in responsible area to operations and other maintenance personnel for troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
    • Perform basic hand rigging to execute work.
    • Work with AC/GK on maintenance schedule.
    • Draw correct piping ISO’s for pipe fab

    Qualifications and skills

    • Welding skills
    • ISO drawing skills
    • Mechanical skill set for working on equipment
    • Advanced mechanical trouble shooting skills
    • Demonstrates strong integrity in placing safety, the environment, and quality ahead of production volume
    • Ability to read and understand equipment drawings and other technical documents
    • Skilled in the use of SAP, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required
    • Degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related technology is desired. Alternative work experience in Machine repair and maintenance (minimum 2 - 5 years) in a Manufacturing environment
    • Strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required to be successful in this job
