    Millwright - Tzaneen

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is seeking Millwrights to join our Foods Division. The role will be based in Tzaneen and report to the Maintenance Manager. The The purpose of the role is to be responsible for ensuring that Plant Maintenance is done effectively and accurately in such a way to ensure the minimum downtime.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • N3 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering plus trade test
    • Minimum 5 - 10 years production line or FMCG maintenance experience
    • PLC/VSD Drives experience  

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines do not deteriorate.
    • Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
    • Be able to comply with Food safety standards, and previous FMCG experience will be an advantage
    • Assemble, install and / or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment on steam and waterlines
    • Ensure that your department complies with all Health and Safety requirements.
    • Record maintenance and repair work performed.
    • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

    Process Controller

    Job Description    

    • To monitor Food Safety (HACCP & GMPs) and manage quality standards in production process through identification and correction of non-compliances . Observes employees on the line adherence to ISO, GMP and HACCP practices and advises on necessary corrective action required when contravened.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Qualification:

    • Matric with Maths and Science
    • Diploma in Food Science or Technology/ /Microbiology/Biotechnology

    Knowledge:

    • In-depth knowledge of Quality control in food manufacturing, Food Technology, HACCP and GMP knowledge
    • Team player with the necessary skills, capabilities and resources required to assist with execution of decisions made

    Credit Supervisor

    • The Credit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the full credit control function within a fast-paced FMCG environment. This role ensures effective risk management, optimal cash flow, and accurate financial processing while leading a team of credit controllers and support staff.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Relevant Finance or related Degree
    • Experience working with accounts for Major Retailer & Wholesalers (Shoprite, PNP, Woolworths, Spar, Massmart Group, UMS, IBC, Elite Star)
    • 3 to 5 years of  Supervisory Experience desirable

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Credit Management

    • Oversee and manage all debtor accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Review and approve discounts, pricing claims, promotional credits, and rebate workflows in line with SOPs.
    • Release customer orders daily after vetting credit limits and risk exposure.
    • Monitor credit limits and stop-supply actions, escalating risk where required.
    • Review and sign off aged analysis comments, overdue accounts, and action plans.
    • Ensure compliance with company credit policies, audit requirements, and internal controls.

     Operational & Administration Control

    • Ensure timely distribution of customer statements, invoices, and PODs.
    • Ensure accurate payment allocations and reconciliation of customer accounts.
    • Correct misallocated transactions through journals and adjustments.
    • Maintain accurate customer master data, including account openings, changes, and workflows.
    • Manage returns and damaged goods claims with relevant stakeholders.
    • Resolve unpaid invoice queries promptly and professionally

    Claim & Pricing Processing

    • Validate all pricing, promotional and rebate claims according to agreed processes.
    • Ensure invalid claims are escalated to pricing or sales departments.
    • Oversee monthly claims trackers and reporting deadlines.
    • Ensure pricing claims are processed correctly and allocated to the correct principals

    Cash Flow Management

    • Oversee daily bank statement analysis and tracking of deposits.
    • Manage daily and weekly cash flow reporting (Actuals vs Forecast).
    • Ensure all receipts are identified, recorded, and allocated timeously

    Team Leadership & People Management

    • Lead, mentor, and supervise team members (credit controllers, data capturers, and admin staff).
    • Conduct performance reviews, training, coaching, and succession planning.

    • Manage leave, workloads, and resource planning efficiently.

    Reporting & Business Support

    Quality Monitor

    • RCL FOODS  is seeking for a Quality Monitor to join our Baking Division at Sunshine Bakery in Pietermaritzburg. The successful incumbent will be required to monitor and maintain all relevant food safety systems. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 
    • B.Sc. Consumer Science/ Food Science/ Biotech. Food technology
    • ISO 22000 implementation/ FSSC 22000;

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    External Analysis  

    • Compile a customer database that stipulates their external analysis needs and continuously update to keep it current
    • Identify and submit all samples requiring external analytical/microbiological testing on a daily basis. Ensuring that testing is as per customer requirements and it is completed timeously to avoid shipping delays
    • Managing environmental monitoring program, ensuring swabs are taken as per the testing schedule
    • Managing external testing samples, by ensuring all samples are taken aseptically to avoid cross-contamination
    • Managing external analytical/ chemical tests as per the testing schedule

    FOOD SAFETY

    • Conduct all food safety training needs for the plant
    • Conduct weekly hygiene/GMP audits
    • Conduct glass and hard plastic checks as per schedule
    • Conduct cleaning and sanitation checks- Post cleaning checks
    • Manage and monitor allergen management program in the plant
    • Collect and review daily food safety checks from the plant and take proper actions when needed.
    • Conduct daily staff hygiene checks
    • Assist in managing pest control program within the site
    • Assist in preparing for external food safety audits
    • Conduct annual mock recall or traceability exercises and feedback on the performance
    • Manage supplier non-conformances process and COA’s follow up

    • Assist in monitoring and verifying OPRP’s, CCP’s on daily basis
    • Trend on a monthly: Micro results, customer complaints, Foreign Object, Corrective actions, chemical results, GMP audits, Supplier Non-conformances, Allergen Management, OPRP AND CCP monitoring

    Quality Control:

    • Identify any non-conforming product, communicating this information to the relevant stakeholders and assisting the QA Technologist in determining the root cause and corrective action for the non-conformance.
    • Together with the QA Technologist, establish testing plans for all new raw materials and final products
    • Recording of all results on relevant database and release for products not requiring positive Micro release
    • Ensuring that samples that require external testing are placed in the appropriate areas for sending
    • Ensure retention samples are retained as per the product shelf life and that they are readily accessible in the event of a customer complaint
    • Sending pre-shipment samples to the relevant customers
    • Completion of all records required to comply the internal QMS system and audits
    • Update and generate Work Instructions, records and test methods when necessary
    • To assist with analytical testing of raw materials as and when staffing issues arise
    • To be able to answer any QC related question during an internal and external audit
    • Maintain QC equipment to ensure accurate analysis, ensure calibration schedule is implemented
    • Update QC test methods when necessary
    • Assist with information required for Monthly QC Lab Report
